Hitech is commander and chief its his game nobody argues this fact so why not bring jonny home the war is over eliminate all three countries Bish,Knights And Rooks disolve everyone back into one melting pot and end there allegence to one side nobodys hurt no bounds over steped no planes limited !! no big rewright of software just rename countries to what ever IE a or b and redestribute everyone and let it work it self out no allenegces everyone is either green or red ...lol squads would find themselves and loners wouldnt care as I read your response to midnight that the countries take on a personality of there own and isnt that really the problem here? this should solve the balancing problem for a few years and stop all the fuss and if it ever gets to this point again in few years we do it again?
thanks for your time salute to all who play the game.

No thanks, I'll pass.

Btw not realy seriously thinking about this.

Good, I'd rather not, if you don't mind.

When I first joined Aces High after AW died, I became Rooks. I became Rooks even though they were the underdogs getting womped badly 24/7. Talk about a harsh learning curve! I became Rooks because that's where the people I enjoyed playing with for the better part of a decade were. Forcing us to play with people who we do not enjoy playing with is a really bad idea. The only reason this is even an issue is because Rooks have become the country ALOT of people tend to enjoy playing with.

Instead of blaming Rooks for being popular, Knights and Bishops need to do some introspection and fathom what it is about your country's character that makes it so unappealing. Unappealing to the point where Rooks like myself would rather fly P40b's with no radar versus your 262s as switch to your country. The solution is there, just look for it.

Worse Clubs! I can see the puns now.

Good idea. I think its safe to say that current MA behaviour has earned us a RESET of the teams.:aok

Ain't a damned thing wrong with SPADES or CLUBS...  Why some of our most valiant fighters use both symbols in their heraldry...!

This is all pretty far above the head of an  ignorant, indigent, poor non-rook trash like myself.  Seems like a pretty silly attitude to have in a computer game to me, but whatever floats your boat.

Given everyone can change back again within 24 hours (or what ever the setting is) I think just a shuffle would not cut it.

To force a shuffle and yet retain some choice you would have to block everyone from a country for a whole tour and rotate that randomly.

eg if you were blocked from bish last tour (allowing a choice of Nit or rook)you get blocked from  eg rook next tour allowing a choice of bish or nit.

I think to make it work you have to go back to the original concept at the start of the thread.

1) at end of tour (or even on a reset) randomly scatter everyone across three countries.

2) then randomly rename those countries from a huge list of names...(animals, stars, planets game pieces whatever).

Squads would quickly re align to one side or another but every tour would be very new in terms of player mix.

Congradulations to the Rooks, Who last night after a 3 week hiatus got your act together.

I said at the start I was of the opinion this whole eny thing wasnt going to change anything other then the type of planes being flown by the horde.
And while its still too early to say "I told ya so"
We're getting damn close.

Zazen said it best. The rooks took steps to improve their numbers and their teamwork. Bish and Knigits could easily do the same.

Country loyalty is part and parcel of the immersive nature of the game IMHO. In AW we were just Az Bz and Cz. Az were always piss yellow, Cz were some kind of puke green, and Bz were fire engine red.

EDIT: I swear I saw a post dated 2005, saying "This was a good idea, but nobody ever gave it consideration", which is now deleted...

Because it doesn't matter if he never renames a country the same name it had once, ever again. Even if he says "okay bish are now octagons" then those that are so pig-headed and stubborn to change teams to even things out will all just arbitrarily pick the team they all want to be on, as a whole.

So changing the names does squat. Does nothing. You still have the same unbalanced horde mentality, just with different names.

A rose is a rose is a rose, etc.

That idea did nothing to help solve the solution, and only perpetuated the problem "in place" of eny restrictions -- basically you might read it as a "I hate ENY I wanna fly my plane I pay my sub waaaahh!!!" thread.

He's basically saying "remove ENY and just rename the countries every map rotation" -- which does nothing at all, which is to say he's just saying "gimme my plane back!"
