This is most interesting, look at the "Sighting View" section. May be our 190 gunsight should be redone and the attitude how the plane flies at level (nose down). This explains why the 190 had the sight so low over the control panel while having a clear view of the target in deflection shots while turning.

The wings had a 2 degree inclination to help with low speed manuvering.  At cruise speed the plane adopted a nose down attitude which improved the sighting picture.

The view downwards from the centre of the sight graticule to the edge of the reflector plate holder, is about 5 degrees.

Last time I measured this angle on the Aces High cockpit graphics it matched this figure. EDIT - Hmmm, iirc it was 5º in AH1, in the default position in AH2 its about 3.5º, if you raise the pilots head you can improve it to about 6º though.

Attitude of the plane in level flight is mostly affected by the angle of incidence(AoI) of the wing. Increase AoI = increase "nose down" attitude in level flight.

AoI is usually designed at an angle such that the fuselage of the aircraft is level at cruising speed, to reduce drag. Interesting factoid is that 747's fly slightly nose up at their cruising speed because they actually cruise slower than the speed they were designed to.

First: YOU IS WRONG!!!!

Second: Me and my friend Oleg have very secret pans on all of the planes. Yes. We have gone through this before, it will not be changed, never, ever. Because its too difficult! Its easier to change history. There you have it! Maybe we need to change the La5-view. And duration.

Oops, wrong flightsim...

lol, good one Purzel :D

Mandoble, I'm a fan of the 190 as well but I can't understand why you keep questioning non-issues.
AH has usually very generous views and even if the AH 190 had an "incorrect" default nose view you can fix that all for yourself. On my keyboard there's even a key for it... it has written PGUP on it.. :p
Since you seem to have excess energy to fight windmills, please by all means ask Oleg the same question. The AH 190 is fine w/respect to its nose view and deflection shots are easy enough when you know how to calculate the trajectory of the 151/20s, and you are probably one of the best at this.
Please ask yourself one question: does the AH nose view stops you from killing? Be honest.. and: the 190 will never have the nose view of a Me410.
If you still have doubts, fly the Il2 190 for a while. Their nose view is plain wrong, you'll be thankful for the AH view system. :)

No, you cant. Moving the head up has a totally different effect, you lose the sight and you kill extra room to have even better view over the nose. May be only the shight should be graphically redone (changing its angle) and then correct the attitude of the plane relative to AOA (just adding or substracting some fixed quantity of degrees when drawing the plane).
