Not a bug, a color saturation question (big images)
« on: August 28, 2004, 07:52:27 PM »
The game had problems with terrrain being too dark in beta and adjustments were made. But the sky while in beta had a good saturation has been replaced by the BLUE of AHI.

Is there a way to desaturate the sky and the water to give this appearence while leaving the terrain as it is ??

Offline background shot with a offline plane layered over the top.

Desaturating the background makes a GREAT difference in presentation.

Normal:

Sky and water desaturated:

Everything is there. I have no idea of the programing hurdles involved but it's all there.

Thanks.

It's almost impossible, as-is, to see any kind of green icons in the sky (because the sky is so darn bright). I think that 1) your idea of desaturating would be good to help this and 2) that it just LOOKS more realistic, and is pretty cool.

Better yet, when is HTC going to update the pictures they have on the homepage? They still have AH1 pics posted there...

Its not a complaint, it might help them get some more customers with newer looking (better looking) pics posted.
