"I gradually worked him down to the ground and he made a crash landing in
a plowed field. Saw Lt. Hill behind me so I called him and told him to strafe the plane. He took a pass and I also did."

Got it in a Harry Ankeny's Combat Diary.
Nice example of vulching after the enemy ditched.

Then some guys tell us to fly with honor.

Everyone knows Mustang pilots were the ultimate vulchers in WW2

They would circle Me262 bases, just out of flak range waiting to catch the jets "low and slow" on takeoff or landing.

That was war, this is a game...it's poor sportsmanship to vulch an arena strip.  Scenario's are different.
You could be damn sure that if a real nme ditched in front of me, I would wait for him to clear the aircraft before I destroyed his plane, if possible.  Couldn't live with myself otherwise, war or no war.  I saw an old wwii mustang driver choke up while tellin his story 'cause he kept his finger on the trigger longer than necessary and killed the german pilot as he was tryin to bail out.

War is stupid. There people died. And of course wasnt fair to vultch landed/landing planes. Like allies did to 262 etc...
But here is a game, we can vultch and nobody dies. Its all fun.
Of course, vultched people cries alot. LOL!

I got vultched many many times and i dont care about it.
But some other players pay to much attention to this simple act of vultching.

I am honest. Sometimes i vultch, like what happened to me few nights ago:
I was flying 27K, saw an enemy 109 very low. So i dove over him and when was getting ready to atack he started a landing procecedures.
Man, it really pissed me off. I come from 27K to watch his beautiful landing? No of course. I just managed to strafe him and proud of it! LOL!

We use to say, vultchers r dweebs, newbies... "poor sportmanshíp" and other things.
Well, i completely disagree. I know many very good pilots who sometimes vultch... i dont care bout it. I dont care when ppl vultch me too.

Now only cuz i vultch, i am a dweeb?

YES! LOL!

See u all!

This is a game.  No "real" blood is shed.  If I'm trying to take a field and someone is trying to take off from there, I'd love to fill 'em full of lead while they're low and slow.  I sleep just as well at night knowing a virtual pilot and his 8 virtual paratroopers died 50' above the ground.

I don't go out of my way to shoot chutes, 'cause they're a pain to hit...but if there's one in front of me, I blast 'em.  That way they don't have to walk back to base.

Another thing.
Many guys still trying to take off from a fiel under heavy enemie patrol. How they want to be not vulched? Everyone there is looking for kills (read- FUN of shooting others down).
Now, man. If u dont wanna be vulched on the take off. Go for another field and take off.
Or do u want the other pilots waiting and expending their times watching u climb?

Another point to add. Was chating with Hristo and he said a good point:
"Vulching ppl who deserves it"

Now i remember one night, i was fighting against Hollywood in his La5. We had a great duel so he got badly damaged his engine quit. He told me in the public radio  and i managed to let him land.
That was great.

poof...

Real life here.

You allow an enemy pilot to exit his plane.
He hitches a ride back to his field, grabs another plane and shoots you or your buddy down.

Who's crying now?

Vultching was part of the war and not just 51s,Brits used Mossies US used 51s & 47s to good use.

As for vultching in the game.. Hell Yes

Allways will, ill kill chutes, guys outa fuel tryin to ditch or guys outa ammo.

Theres only one eception to this,if the guy calls (No ammo or fuel) and i have flown against him or know him to be a good pilot, ill let him land.

If he calls no ammo & i knopw he is a butthead, ill straffe him till theres nothin left to put together. And there are some real mouthy people out there.. Gain my respect and ill let you land unharmed..

There are only a handfull of people at this point in time that have my respect..

They fight well and have the right attitude and they keep there mouths in check

Yeah !
USAF pilots were actually ordered to kill any
Me262 pilots regardless of if he's in chute,
ground or in a plane. So Germans weren't the
only "bad guys" on war...(no offence).

Also pilots on Luftwaffe were ordered to kill
any nme, no matter if he's on chute, but they
mostly didn't and I guess so didn't the USAF pilots either...

In real life, I bet it's quite hard to kill
an enemy when he is in the chute...in fact,
he's a human!!

Just my opinions.

cu up there

Agree with Pirado and Duck.
Vulching is not cheating.
You only are vulched if you want to be or are stupid enough.
I have been vulched more than 5 times in WBs by the same guy in the same field, only to prove myself I was able to take off and fight, finally I got airborne with a zeke and got him down,...(well maneuver kill, he, he)
Vulching is one more option the game (and war) has, nothing else.
