There is skill in diving into a cloud of red cons and killing 3 before you die.

I have the same view as Mars, I dont up expecting to die, I expect to live, but I die a lot because I up in bad odds often. Base defence is my favorite thing to do.

Usually fly 'til I die. If I bag more than a couple and can bug out without buying the farm I will try to land em. But only if it doesn't leave a wingman in the lurch.

I always fly to live. It's all part of the immersion for me, and I like nothing better than RTBing and landing.

I fly until I can't fly anymore. If I remember to land all the better but in most cases I fly until the hordes finally overwhelm me.

I always plan on landing kills (my main marker k/d), but I don't let it ruin my fun. T&B style more than B&Z style, so that dictates fighting and dieing. I really only run when out of ammo/fuel or to avoid a total gang bang (4/5v1 odds or worse). Even then I'll try to snag a kill or draw one away in the process for a 1v1. Always look for even fights or a bigger red bar than green bar.

Well, there was the one time in the CT that I told my squadmates to "Give my regards to the emperor!" as I took off in a Ki-67 to try to torpedo the American CV that was attacking us with overwelming numbers.

Seriously though, the only stat that I care about is K/D. I don't try to artificially inflate it by flying the fastest aircraft available or by flying like a chicken. K/D is simply an indication of how good I am at actually fighting in the aircraft I choose. I am interested in how I do at fighting, not running, not one pass to see if he is AFK and not pretending to be flying "historically" by avoiding anything resembling danger.

I also like landing, or even sliding a badly damaged aircraft down the runway, after a sortie. It completes the task and has a feeling of satisfaction and success.

I always intend to live, but I will take off in situations where I am completely outnumbered and most likely going to die.

More often then not I will die fighting rather than live by flying safely.

I worry little about the outcome and more weather or not I will find a fight.
