Nope, got it already......and it takes about 4 times longer to scan the drive than a freeby prog called (surprisingly)  file recovery (demo)......um.....which takes about 6 hours anyway.

On an NTFS partition there are multiple copies of the MFT, so you've lost rather more than the main copy. I have successfully recovered data in the past from like situations by using a utility called Tiramisu.

I use W2K Pro, and this stupid inability to turn on LBA48 support in some system patch (meanwhile they were fixing probs with "Snowwhite" cartoon :mad:) costed me 120Gb of important data. :mad:

For data recovery I'll recommend Ontrack Easy Recovery Pro. But you'll need another disk with OS installed and a disk to save your data to.

I have used easyrecovery for a similar problem.. it did the trick just fine.  let me know if you need help finding it.
