somehow they enabled the administrative option in your pc .

they must of networked it to anouther pc perhaps .

now they have you locked out from managing stuff on your pc .

(double check this by trying to install a different program)

try right clicking on network neiborhood , and check in "access control "

also i think you can unistall network neiborhood and then reinstall it .  you will have to reset the protocals if you do this though or you will be open for intrusion from the internet .(unless you have a good firewall)

another thing is that they may have set your security settings up to high also .(just guessing here )

you can also edit it out from the regedit , i just dont remember exactly were it is at the moment (Darn cold has me feeling like the coyote after an anvil hit him)

Thx Roscoroo

The guy that worked on it did put it on his network. It wont let me download anything.

I checked the network access control I have 2 options . #1 shared level access control Which is checked. #2 user level access control.

Also the guy that did the work left the comopany so i cant ask him how to solve the problem. Any help would be great.

Hope your feeling better

choose "user level access"

also try removing "client for microsoft whatever" reboot then add it again
I don't know what to put here yet.

client for microsoft networks ... thats what you remove

you remove it in your network neiborhood configuration tab .

then you may have to reinstall it / then setup your protocals again

tcp/ip and netbios . i use the symantec security check  website to check mine when im done , it also tells you how to configure the netbios so that big hole of a port isnt open to the internet.

if that doent fix it then you need to edit it out from the regestry .. I'll look it up if you need me to .. (but it wil cost ya the cure for the common cold )

Don't use netbios, all you need is the network adapter and tcp/ip protocol for internet access.
Best place to do this is thru control panel/network.
