the last few times I've been in the Main arena it has been difficult to find a good sized furball because the Arena is so large and spread out. Does anyone else see this happening and if so do you think a smaller map would help this problem?

Tumbler,

I've generally found furballs when I go looking for them.  Make sure you zoom out to scan the whole map when looking and then just move to the nearest field.  I think Part of it depends on the time of day you're online.  Late at night there are FAR fewer people and fights tend to be much smaller, even single a/c dogfights.  I think if you make the maps smaller the balance of game play when trying to reset the fields will suffer.

yes... a smaller map would be useful but... much better, would be to use the current map but use one corner for an early war area and another for a late war area.   The early and late areas would be much smaller and that fact combined with the manuverability of the early planes would make the early war area a very fun one indeed.... oops, there's that "F" word again... sorry Amish.  How bout if we promise not to smile?

I'd have to vote nay.  I wish the map was twice it's current size.

You smell that? Do you smell that?
Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that.
I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
The smell, you know that gasoline smell, smelled like victory.

Dear Thumbler, Furball is definatly what I hate in a flight simulator. It usually a Niki convention with B&Zming F4Cs and G10s.

As far as I'm concern, bigger is better. There is always a furball place on the map, look or "ask" for it, at least big maps gives you the opportunity to avoid them (or create them too ).

perhaps smaller maps would not be the solution for everyone.   Having the center island fields all "uncapturable" and "uncloseable" and not enabling bombers from them would probly be a good solution for both camps.   Island fields would not affect arena reset.
