oh. thats original.

go on.  make it about me.  fine.

but the fact is that you pay 30 a month.

i dont know about ya'll but thats alot of money when i can go out and buy a disk for 40 and play a game for free beyond that.  i dont because i like the community and the ability to get a 1/50 kill to death ratio on you people, and you get to watch my flaming semi-newbie rear fall to peices in the sky.  but thats about you not the product.  id see you elsewhere.

ive said my piece.

its not personal.  its pure economics bros.  and a bit of righteous indignation to boot.

to those who feel that i am attacking your friend, i am not.  i am sure that hitech and its emloyess are great folks.  its not personal.

but it is true.

Augest: It has always been my belief that just because your butter, it does not give you the right to be rude to the bread. And I'm not refering to your post.

Every once and a while people need to be reminded of this.

Wow, I have a couple of employee reviews to do today. I'm borrowing this.

My reviews will be totally food oriented this year:

Where's the beef?

Carrot & Stick

Low hanging fruit

Butter and toast

This should be fun.

Hitech,

It would be easier for most newer players to be respectfull of what you provide if this were an ice skating arena. It is after all the face less internet.

But let me say, I vote your Ice Rink the best in the business.:)

agreed.  every so often people need to be reminded.  my posts have been efforts to do just that with hi tech creations, as have most of the posts that have been piling up recently by others.

i have read your post regarding the new work that you are doing,
and its exciting... but i stand by my statements...(after the niceties) i am glad that one of us had the sense to see the key that was offered and use it.

i appreciate that those who work at high tech deserve to be treated with respect.  we all do, but that does not excuse the issue of promises made with few results seen.  it is also pretty clear that people have been exceptionally diplomatic in previous posts...this is hardly the first call for updates, contact, communication with the mothership with little if any response.

the whole ENY thing has everyone up in arms, but there really hasnt been a firm word on it that i have seen, so people just get hotter because they expect that you will cater to thier needs or at least define it for them so its set in stone.

again, and i am saying this to the company, not a person, it is not fair to us to ask us to be a part of an experiment without clearly defining what that experiment is.  saying oh, you should spend this money because its going to get better and it doesnt, wont cut it.

it just doesnt work that way.

loyalty is a two way street.

when you give your word.  you keep it.

thank you for your communications today.  they are appreciated.

(its still not about me.)

respectfully,
butter.

Such rude people. At least one person in this thread respects what HTC is doing.

A game like this takes a very long time to make. And it's even more difficult with people whining about every little thing that they don't like.

Just because nobody knows who you are doesn't give you the right to be an ass.

all I would like to hear is how things are coming and a less defensive posture from HTC.  This could be handled in a way that neither sets unreasonable expectations nor stonewalls the customer.  How about a designee who handles "press releases" and threads on this board?  In my experience, one voice is better than many for such things.
