Morpheus... youve consistantly missed the point throughout this thread.

's are useless... no one cares if they are returned or not.

Its Urchin and Mane's sense of sportsmanship, displayed by calling people losers and telling them to suck on a part of his anatomy after we complimented him, that angers us!

Next time READ the posts before you start calling people idiots!

What is it with some of you and whining about "alt monkeys"?

Usign a plane to its advantages (read: ALTITUDE) isn't being lame. It's being smart.

Anyway, I'd like to drop kick Urchin out a window. Anybody who whines about "Lgay7's" and Spitfires this much deserves a paddling.

Oh, btw: Nice fighting, guys. Glad to see Urchin take a beating.

Funny, you seemed to remember a lot (that didn't even happen) before.  Now you barely remember it.  Nice dodge.  Besides, none of that has anything to do with the point of this thread.

Once again, gang-bang or not, diving in on your 6 with alt and speed advantage or not, you two being uber pilots or not, Jasta and I being excited about getting the kill or not...none of that is an excuse for rude behavior.  Is there anyone here that really thinks it does?  Anyone?  Here is a hint, since you obviously have no clue: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything.  You want it to be a nice place for you, do what you can to make it a nice place for others...simple as that.

Look, urchin went out of his way to be rude and vulgar.  This is not just a slip or a "you guys suck", but a purposeful effort to be obscene.  Talk trash to me all you want, but that it what it was.  urchin nor you have any class at all.  You could have even left it at a "you call that a fight???", but urchin turned it personal and specific.  Even after that you do not see my squaddie or I respond in kind.  So, whatever, sport.  You are the king of the world, so, have a party.

Morpheus
You're right...we got excited about getting the kill on them...What is your point?  Have you been here so long that you no longer remember the excitement of getting kills...especially on sticks you considered better than yourself?  Is the game that unexciting to you?  And what does that have to do with the point of the thread?

Not looking for commendations about the engagement.  That is not the point of the thread.  Of course, you are mane and urchin's squaddie which explains a lot of your response in this matter (although I am don't think I would be accommidating if it was one of my squaddies).  And since you have decided to sink to the level of name calling, I can conclude nothing more than you would have responded with the same lack of dignity that they showed.

Woo hoo...what cool guys you are. NOT!

can't ya'll tell autumn is just around the corner, don't ya just love it,

a well fought fight, 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 usually will conjer up a and maybe a few lines of text saying awesome fight, great flying etc......

a 3 on 1 or more, or 5 on2 or more bout the only time a would be given is if the lower numbered team downs all the opponents, this is excellent flying, not the other way around.as Shane said, he don't by into the  faux idealology, yet he will speak up if it was a good hard fought battle...

just like me, alot of people have stuck their nose in where it does not belong, in this thread, that's my view.........
"When one considers just what they should say to a new pilot who is logging in Aces High, the mind becomes confused in the complex maze of info it is necessary for the new player to know. All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC

Here is the problem:

My squad sees as compliments, regardless of length of time, skill level displayed, or whatever.  In this instance it was an acknowledgement that the two of you (urchin and mane) are much better than us.  If you watch the text, you salute first and it was only later that it becomes obvious that you (urchin and mane) were being sarcastic.

The way urchin and mane see a salute is somewhere between sarcasm and an insult.  This explains their reaction to the compliments paid them.  For Jasta and I failing to see it this same way, we are called idiots (lol).

Now, if you watch the text in the movie there is nothing to suggest from our behavior anything but that we were seriously complimenting urchin and mane.  I know that I was and I believe Jasta was.  The fact that we did get excited by the outcome is testament to the fact that we did not expect to win.  To be honest, because of my excessive airspeed I expected to overshoot and look back to see urchin firing on me.  It didn't happen that way.  Sometimes things just don't go the way we expect them to.

So, what do we learn from this?  Well, that not everyone sees things the way you do.  This goes for me as well as urchin.  I saw a pilot of superior skills that I happened to get the jump on, fly to my best and come out on top and in exchange for that I offered a salute.  urchin saw that he got ganged and then made fun of so he retaliated.  It's a gut instinct that is hard for some people to control.  All I can say is that I meant no disrespect.  I can also say that urchin meant every bit of disrespect he could muster (which was very little in the final analysis).

urchin, you were out of line, but I don't expect you to acknowledge it.  Truth is what truth is, regardless of your denial.  The next time I or one of my squaddies shoots you down, you can be sure we will barely notice.

I am out, have fun.

My point?

My point is you can take this lame thread and shove it. Hows that?

The entire thread is devoted to bashing someone who you can learn alot from. Two people actually. Who cares what they said to you? You did gang them. You want a pat on the back for that? If  you think you need some respect join a help group. You know... The kind where people stand in a cirlcle and tell eachother that they are a good person and all.

There is only one reason HT didnt lock this thread. I wont say what it is because its obvious to those that know.

BTW. MiniD...

I have a constructive Suggestion for you.

Go ban someone big guy. :)

Mr Hot Shot Mod that you are.

LoL cant take watermelon from ppl there so you just ban them :)

morph...  not disputing your contention both mane and urch can teach people things... nor that starting this thread wasn't the best of ideas (but neither are so many bbs threads)... it's commendable that you're sticking up for your squaddies...

but....

i do say, but....

have you watched the film?

yep, and all I see are two guys moving in on two lower guys who are already in a fight with three other cons only to pick them.

Big deal...

Whats so great about that?

Then they got the balls to make a stink about not getting recognition for their bravery. And are upset because Urchin snapped back about getting picked in an already 3v2.

Edit: Im done with this stupidity now. Just being involved in this watermelon makes me feel bad for myself. Blammo, Jasta and whome ever else was involved in bravely "gunning down" Urchin and Mane, you are true heros in every aspect of the word.

I sincerly hope that makes you guys feel a little bit better about yourselves deep down.

did you watch the film SHane? i mean really watch it?

Notice their speed.

Notice Manes and Urchins speed.

Notice that they are both already basicly in with lower cons who are fighting with them.

Notice what is being said on Vox.

Notice how bravely they made their vicious moves.

Notice how Lame this entire thread is.

Notice how pathedicly stupid and simple someones life must be for crap like this to bother them.

And btw, yeah I watched the film.

yes i did.  did you?

1.  they were doing a little below 400, not some huge honking speed... they held their speed 380-400 until the final closing in when they hit about 410-420, nothing outrageous, good speed discipline for the encounter. they didn't zoom off either, but went up and came right back into it.

2.  all 5 arrived at the same time, with the 2 pertinient people in this thread being the first to engage. mane and urchin were *not* engaged with anyone yet. they were in the process of reversing as all 5 were basically to the rear of them.

why were mane and urchin so slow to begin with?  they would have been better served to level/dive a little to gain engagement speed when blammo and jasta first overflew them and shortly afterwards when the other cons got closer.

what i see is a lapse of SA, in conjunction with a not so great decision to make the manuever he did on mane's part, which got him out of the action right quick and urchin damaged.

then you had 2 rook 109's come into the fray higher up ("alt monkey's" eh? :D) which pulled off two of the knits, 3 actually.  then it was just the orginal two knits, blammo and jasta who went to finish off a gimped urchin.

there was no "fight" on anyone's part, mane and urchin didn't put up one. i'm not knocking their skills, but from reviewing the film they got slapped down just like that. i'd have done things a lot different as soon as the two overflew me and then reversed on me to come in with the other 3. for one i'd have been getting faster than urch and mane were. mane went aggressor too quick, and his lapse of SA got him dead. we all make mistakes. he paid for his.

having said that, if i were urch/mane i'd also have tossed out a "you gurls are good in crowds" comment and pretty much left it at that (unless some ankle humper started in on me for more ch 200 entertainment :D ).

in no way were urch and mane already "engaged" and blammo/jasta "cherried" them. it was all simultaneous.

Still haven't figured out why people get so upset in this game about how they die. Some people and most know who they are, complain and have tons of excuses why they died.

Who cares If their going to complain about getting cherry picked, gangbanged, vulched, or whatever.  They need to go to the DA and stay there if there looking for a fight with rules. Funny thing is, the one's you hear cry the most on CH200 about how they died will do exactly the same to others.

It just cracks me up how some so called adults can act so childish over a silly game. Who cares who is the better pilot in a game. Until I get paid to be a great pilot in this game, I don't care about my rank, whether I die to a HO, Gangbang, vulch or whatever. I don't care if I make the guy i killed upset because I killed him, no matter how I accomplished the task. They can whine till the cows come home, it just makes them look bad when they cry about how they died. No One cares and for that matter, 98% of the MA wouldn't know they just got killed if they would have kept there mouth shut.

I am here to have fun, do my part for the country I am flying for, make it as tough for my NME's as possible to get a kill, and succeed in their mission.

Some friendly smack talk is cool between friends of different countries. But when someone just flat out tells someone to suck there **** because they didn't like getting killed, no matter how they died. That to me is not needed in this game.
