Yes it does. You need to fly with some different people.

I have to agree with Seeker on this one.  It does exist.  Just because you don't have it or haven't encountered it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Good flying Blammo and Jasta.  Though sometimes you have to recognize that getting worked up about it is just not worth it.  You should enjoy it more and move on when something happens that you don't like.

you reap what you sow.  I couldn't disagree with you more on this point.

YOU might not fly with honor and respect, but many DO.

Yes this is a game, but that does not mean you should be a unrespectful jerk.  YOU might use the fact that it's virtual to be a complete bufoon, but that in no way means everybody else should too.

I find that in general if you are respectful in real life, you tend to be respectful in all things that you do, virtual or otherwise.  I refuse to be drug down into the dregs with those that think it's ok to be a crass doofus.

Case in point, I was in the DA with a pilot other night (mime) and lost more than I won.  Everytime mime beat me, I gave 'em a or a WOOT g/k! and basically everytime he replied with curse words and personal attacks.

Just because HE has fundamentially lacking people skills doesn't mean that I should stoop to his level.  I kept on compliment 'em, and he kept hurling slurs, and I'll leave it at that.  BUT I remained very polite, so in my opinion even though he might be a tab better than I am in the ole' turn and burn, i'm twice the man he will ever be.

(edited) I just read your bio skull in other thread, and saw that you are only 15yrs old.  That explains much re. your views.  I DO hope you have positive male role model(s) in your life that can show you HOW to be a man, and understand what it means to live with honor and respect.  G/L!

Who cares about honestly.  if you do then you are just an over inflated EGO dweeb who is really a tard that needs to get out of Lala land where he is on his high horse.

...

And people ask why the MA has degrading into hording.  this shows. a perfectly good example of it.

Actually it's the opposite.

If you were ganged, the may simply mean "Well done lasting so long, you were tough to bring down even with 4 of us on you."

Maybe if folks in general showed a little more decorum and took some pride in the way the play the game they wouldn't feel the cumpulsive need to gang bang, pork'n'auger, lawn-boy B17's, HO, have limp-wristed truces, etc., etc., etc.

Yeah, yeah, yeah ... "it's just a game, don't take it so serious, I em hear to hav phun!" ... but you probably have 100's of hours invested in learning this game. Probably more than you've invested in most sports you played - and you show sportsmanship on the golf course, tennis court, etc., right?

lol, this thread is dripping with testosteron, insults, and crawling with Aholes.

Yet, as MugZ said, it remains unlocked.

I think that says alot about certain people up there. :)

It sure tells me alot. :)

Good Day.

PS- MugZ, lol, dont be so deffensive yourself. I wasnt directing my lil jab at you anyways. ;)

Morfus, you now have my curiousity peaked...

What "I'm not using a shades account!" handle were you using when I banned you from checksix?  I know I never banned a "morpheus".

The FDB charm school begins by teaching you to be comfortable with who you are.  It could help you with your chronic shades account problem.

I'm not sure you even banned him Minid.

I think you twisted his nipples when you banned kappa.

Odd... I've never banned "kappa" either.

Maybe they could both use the course?

Salutes
« Reply #104 on: September 19, 2004, 11:46:07 PM »
Up until the last year or so, it was customary for the guy who was shot down to send a salute to the victor, and the option of giving the salute or good kill etc belonged to that pilot.

I believe that was the right way for the custom to work.  Now the custom has somehow become twisted around and the victor is sending salutes to the guy shot down.  It strikes me as a gesture that could be construed as arrogant, as rubbing it in.

I think the victor would be best served as making no gestures to the downed pilot, and that we return to the custom wherein the option of sending a salute to the victor belongs to downed pilot.
