Now Kerry is REALLY getting on my nerves...
« Reply #15 on: September 24, 2004, 12:33:05 PM »
Then why are the polls moving his way?  The general population does not like to see their President abused, even if they disagree with his policies.  Added to the fact that Kerry is so obviously wrong (well, he is right and wrong, he can't decide his stance), it is bad news for him to do what he is doing.

he should be out there speaking in facts, with a clear and consistant meassage.  He is not, has not and will not.

Again, it's a bit early to be evaluating Kerry's new approach by looking at the polls.

However, I think the polls are telling a different story than you would have. I think the shift is working, and if you can't see the change clearly in the polls now, you should have no problem seeing it quite shortly, I believe.

Early?

The election is 40 days off and NOW he's taking off the gloves?

Nash, I saw no change in the polls this week to favor Kerry. Last article I read said Bush was shoring up support among male voters and that Kerry was pulling his commercials in several states they no longer believe they can compete in.

Sounds to me like desperation is setting in.

The only thing that can save Kerry would be the debates. He's got 3 chances to pull it out.

The debates are going to be huge - no doubt.

Makes perfect sense. The last thing Clintons want is Kerry to win.

True if Hillary is to run in 2008 Kerry must lose.

nash...  the democrats are simply desperate and pulling out all the stops... the two or three big things they counted on were things like moore and the cbs story and other trash that backfired... they shot their dirty tricks wad and got caught in every one of em...

kerrie was trying his hardest  to run on 1972 and it didn't sell but... he had no choice... he has nothing else to run on... he can say he knows how to run the country better and lay out plans but as a senator.... he was a do nothing no show with conflicting or go along policies when he could even bother to show up...

the dems blew it depending too much on an "anyone but Bush" platform.

lol - I saw footage of an interview dated December 11,2001 of John Kerry done by O'Reily. Oh man - how I wish I taped it....
or could find some multimedia link to it.

Complety 180 degrees of what he's saying now in all of his attacks.

Lazs - that's what you think.

(In otherwords, what's your point? You tend to thow several hundred unrelated things into a single post, and it makes picking out the thing that you're actually trying to get at very difficult).

"Anyone but Bush" vs "Bush or Die"?

Kerry is not only a wishy-washy flake, he is stupid to boot.  He is on record as saying the exact opposite of everything he is saying today about Iraq.  People know this, and will come to know it in depth as they pay more attention closer to the vote.

As a leader you must be consistant.  That is not to say that your attitude can not change, but when when it does on something as major as going to war, you better lay out the reasons, and lay them out clearly.  "Bush has done everything wrong" is not an explanation, or a platform.

Okay, here's where the typical "Kerry-Is-A-Poo-Poo-Head" swarm begins... Have fun and don't break anything.

Nope, I mean it literally.  He is doing things that are dumb.  Let me ask you this, Nash.  What do you know about his term as Mass. DA?  Why is he not using that?

Instead of talking himself up, he makes himself look stupid.  Here he is on National TV, 7 years ago.

"We know we can't count on the French. We know we can't count on the Russians," said Mr. Kerry. "We know that Iraq is a danger to the United States, and we reserve the right to take pre-emptive action whenever we feel it's in our national interest."

As a junior senator, there really isn't anything very impressive that one is able to point to. I accept that. What can he do about it? Point to some mind-blowing senatorial moves? They're not particularly impressive.

When Dole ran, he didn't talk much at all about his role in the Senate. Cuz it's boring and complicated and at the end of the day you can't take credit for anything that dozens of people do together.

I mean, the "I spear-headed the creation of legislation that...." is a drag.

Why isn't he talking about it more? I think it's because he'd rather not bore everyone to death.

You might be blaming him for it, but I sure aint.

I didn't say Senator, although that is a whole different issue, I said DA.  edit-I should have said prosecutor.  He was also Lt. Gov., and a four term Senator is not "junior" by any means.
