After watching all this a month or so, I think that may be it. Programmers don't understand that regular humans can get bored by monotony, no matter how well-programmed.

Mul, I've been saying all along that a lot of the reason for the crappiness and horde-iness of the MA is that players are bored. The maps change (eventually), but nothing else does. And the tasks needed to "win" are optimized into player's behavior. There is no reward, recognition, or need to do anything more.

Given a choice, I'd remove ENY. But if it's here to stay, then lets at least make it work right so it doesn't keep people cornered week after week. The way ENY works now, once you're behind you stay behind because when you have the numbers to retake fields you can't get good planes.

Which, in essence, would eliminate total gameplay. The whole point of base capture to reset is to get one team`s base numbers down.

this comment is a whine.

this is the kind of thinking that has brought on this whole ENY-limiter mess.

playing fair has NOTHING to do with numbers.  playing fair = simply playing the game as it was designed without any hacks to create an advantage against the opponent.

flying with numbers simply IS what it is...flying with numbers.

like I said before,
Bish...quit whining when you're down.
Nits...quit whining when you're down.
and, Rooks...quit whining when you're down.

I just have a hard time taking anything seriously from a player who has a user name that resembles a cartoon description of a wet fart.  ;)

I've got a good idea.

Stop screwing with the game.

Return things back to the way they were and maybe flying in the MA will be fun again.

If you don't like the present Main Arena mentallity, Fly Combat theatre. Most of the rules in the MA were made by the players, HTC just enacted them. The way things are, are, because we made them that way. Hitech and company wants to be able to sleep once in a while.:aok

I'm glad at least *someone* isn't taking me seriously. ;)

Was fun before.  Still is fun.  Take off, fly fight.  Just like before.  What's the problem?
