LOL yeah... Like I said, MAD does not work these days.

So you are saying Israel would not retaliate to a nuke attack on here soil?

I think ur full of it hortlund..

Think abput what you just said.

Basicallyt that you think a nuclear strike on israel will go unpunished (as in no nuke retaliation) either by Isreal or the USA...

Thats just stupid...

no matter what side use nukes first, it will be for sure the end
for the whole area.
we all would feel the economical results, and this could lead to
an global escalation.
The statement below is true.
The statement above is false.

Israel will undoubtedly try, but their own nuclear capability might very well have been lost in a first strike. Israel is not that big a nation you know, and they dont have any nuclear missile submarines yet.

Also hortlund this hypothetical about Iran is pretty silly when you copnsider that Pakistan allready has nukes, that pakistan military is full of taliban and aq nutbags, that pakistans cheif nuke scientist sold weapons secrets, that pakistan politics iis full of nutbags and that musharraf, god blesx him he is great guy so far is in a very bad spot controling all of these anti western intersts.  Im 10X more worried about pakistan's existing nukes getting misplaced somehow than Iran's future nikues being used in a direct attack on israel..

I trust that the Israeils have considered all sorts of possibilities to ensure that nuke israel = buh bye: agressior islamic nation, mecca, medina and najaf etc..

I dont think the Israeils take their armaggedon plans lightly.

And what is the more desireable alternative for Israel ..and indeed the world... take out the Iranian WMD programs before they can manufacture a nuke, or hope that Israel manages to launch enough nukes to avenge her death?

Get your head out of your a**

And Pakistans nuke are not dangerous to anyone but India, simply because those two are in a mexican standoff, and you dont point your gun anywhere else in a mexican standoff.

Hillarious hortlund.

You are so willing to imagine that persian shiite Iran would freely give nukes to a bunch of sunni arab terrorists that make up al qaeda but dismiss the possibility out of hand that pakistan, the country where osama is now hiding and a country that pretty much made it possible for taliban to exist, and a country full of crazy pro al qaeda whabbist madrasa trained nutjobs in politics and governemt and the military could have one stolen and end up in aq hands.

OK hortlund..  Hillarious...

Well if the wind conditions are "right" could take out many Palestinians, not to mention the wind might just carry the radiation back to Iran.
Iran developes one or two nukes and gives them away? LOL, methinks they keep them for themselves. Iran is more concerned with its Arab neighbors over Israel. Israel has never invaded Iran. Israel actually helped with the weapons supplies to Iran.
Iran knows that to have a nuke, gives them a "get out of jail, free" card from getting invaded.
Just curious Hortlund, is it possible for you to have a civil discussion or do you just have this mental instability to lash out like a child because someone else has a different viewpoint?
Grow up.

Edit... Oh yeah, they are most fearful of a US invasion. Look what we did with Iraq.

LOL, following your thinking here. They'd use their nukes so the world can see exactly where they came from? Can we say "PooF! Goodbye Iran?"

LOL! Perhaps you'd like to show him how a grown up argues? Your gems of insults is NOT the way to "argue" like a "grown up."

Israel only has tactical nukes.  10-30 kilotons.

Fallout from a nuclear attack isnt as bad as most people think.  Chernobyl was much worse in terms of fallout than many modern nuclear weapons (can't quote the equivalent megatonnage right now).

This is the most plausible scenario for Iranian nuke-use.

1) Nuke smuggled into Israel via Lebanon and Hezbollah
2) Nuke detonated in Tel Aviv
3) Someone else (Al Qaeda) takes blame
