Gamer/Simmer - where are YOU on the scale?
« Reply #15 on: September 26, 2004, 12:15:08 PM »
how would you classify someone who is a 10 on wanting the planes and FM's and gunnery and damage to be as close to real as possible but  is a 1 or less on wanting realistic WWII experiance.

I am a 10 on wanting a good game experiance but a 1 on wanting it to use no realistic gunnery or FM's or planes.

I am a 10/1 on sim and 10/1 on game

sorry beet but there is no other way to explain what I want.   your scale has absolutely no relevance to the way I play.

Delirium - poll broken? I never said it was a poll, just a question. But it has just passed 200 viewings since I posted it this morning. :aok

I am not going to argue with those who will come and say things like “I prefer smart flying” and “why should I T’n’B at tree top level”. That’s all just a lot of BS. They are other ways to fight besides simply "pull stick to belly” and” fly at 30k for some bore and ZZZZ”. If they are under the delusion that there is nothing else then they are in worse shape then I thought.

Have fun anyway you find it just don’t assume others are looking for the same thing as you.
LOL! Hope you can follow your own advice, matey! :lol :rofl

Hehe, looks like I hit a few raw nerves in my gamer definition. Just checked y'all's stats - quite a few LA7 dweebs amongst those who replied. ;):p

An aerial Quakehead. But hey, the AH software caters to them - just as long as you don't mind your X-wing starfighters having WW2 names.

He said he wants the physics models to be as real as possible...

I am in the same category.  Real physics, not real war.  Which is really what this is shooting for I think.  Flight sim, war game.

I still call timid flyers boring and no fun. They can fly how they want and I can call umm as I see them. I don't tell them "you don't fly historically" or "you must fly my way". I judge each individual engagement for what it is; fun or unfun.

The difference between you is I don’t start threads like this over and over as if there was some real point behind them. I reply in my share and I have np telling some one they suck or they are boring.

Besides my quote from that other thread and my reply in this one are not inconsistent, they compliment each other nicely.

You talking about what planes other fly is the real joke. You have as many p51d sorties under belt as anyone. That is the most "unfun" plane in the game. At least the la7 typically will fight.

beet you've made some interesting and somewhat stimulating threads in the past, but besides that generic neutral opening post your replies are stupid.

Your quote of Wotan is not contradictory and lazs' as much a quakehead as you're a sky accounting gamer...

Well, I think I can share beetle's thoughts, nevertheless I think Wotan is right saying we are all just gamers.
Let's say there are some categories of gamers, no one  better than others, but with different wiews of playing and different things to ask a sim/game.

Let's put in this way, if it can help:
If AH was a F1 simulation game, would you try to finish your race or would you go crashing here and there, given that "I cant really die, in this car, etc.... and it is more fun , running all race its so boring...." ??

Guess I know..... ;)
