Flying PT boats
« on: September 26, 2004, 12:10:02 PM »
Saturday nights con flight out of 145 was hysterical to fight against. The air was full of uber pt boats. They seemed to have warp speed and made 90 degree turns. There only flaw was they seemed to stall and get stuck in mid air making them slightly easier to kill.  And not only were they flying they were attacking from underwater.  I filmed it all and watching it was extremely funny.

P. S. The flying/submersible PT boat must be perked:rolleyes:

was suprised not to see flying GV's

To the Whiners its a game and it was one night of fun.
I can't believe people were actually complaining, about that it was ruining the game, and they didn't pay money for this.

I have this odd image in my head of Mechanic on a raft with a volleyball, paddling towards Texas.

You could get the PT boat to just hover by reducing throttle to min.  I set up about 6K about 145, upside down and just enjoyed plinking the cons coming up to get me. Was a lot of fun. The only issue with the "Flying PT" was that it didn't have any more ammo than a normal PT - such a shame :D .

Was lots of fun and thanks to all of you guys for your great sense of humor.

i got the film but alas, they didnt show up on it! :(

i did get to see which blighter it was trying to shoot my crippled TA-152 though. i'ma gunna get ya Jbnacen! :p

heres a pic of one shooting our runway from a smoke cloud (very clever i thought) though the film editor didnt show either an icon nor a PT, he was slightly visable through smoke.

still landed my 2 kills by ditching into a hanger just below him wheels up :)

Next year come to the CON!! The PT's were just the icing on the cake and were a BLAST to watch (and listen to the WHINE!). They did 400 KTS no matter what direction so going vertical was a bit tough to follow them! That and the fact that they could stop in midair, rotate 180 and point the 37mm down to pick off the GVs and vulch... well, not good for you non-con guys! LOL

THe 2V2 tounament was a blast, kudos to Edbert and Llama. I just have one thing to say to Coach (who signed Slappy and I up despite our protests)....

Who's yer buddy!!!!!!!!!

He wasn't in a smoke cloud... on one base we had 3 PT's all inside of hangers. One poor guy kept upping in tyhe hanger next to Llama with bad results.... :D
