What Presidential issues are important to you?

Ya know... I told you in the beggining that the reason kerrie would do poorly was because he was...... ugly.. yep, the women of America allways vote liberal democrat socialist unless.... the candidate is butt ugly.   The liberals can't win without the womens support and the women don't turn out for the ugly guys or guys with facial hair.

seems kinda anti climactioc when ya boil it down like that but....

According to that article in USA Today it's primarily a choice between physical safety vs financial security for women. The single women want more financial security that's offered by social programs while those with financial security want the safety from terrorism apparently offered by conservatives. No surprises here.
Here we put salt on Margaritas, not sidewalks.

To be fair lazs you should consider that if there were two women running how many men would choose based on appearance.
Here we put salt on Margaritas, not sidewalks.

1) taxes
2) less government
3) more energy independence

just a side note, I don't see why when we are at war with "terrorism" that everyone must associate it with just Al Queda, and I despise the terms "ties to al queda". The massacre at the russian school for instance, wether they have "ties" or not I could care less it was barbaric. Saddam had links to terrorists whether is is al queda (which I don't believe) or some other group, hell I consider him a terrorist period. I think the war should be wage on both the diplomatic and military front. Libya is an excellent example, seems they are getting into the world regime and hopefully be a productive society in our world. It will take time, but i am hopeful...granted it took an attack in the 80's to push this along but you gotta start somewhere.

1- Keeping military spending up.  If we stay in Iraq, we'll need the guns.  If we pull out, we'll need to show the world that we're not gonna puss out if somebody tries to take advantage of the situation.

2- Education reform.  NCLB was a good start.  Government mandated education should set a realistic bar for literacy and math for all students and fund ONLY to that level.

3- Tax reform.  Simplify the tax code.  Shrink my 1040 to the size of a 3x5 card.  If the government wants to promote behaviors like owning houses, having kids, or going to school, they can do it through something other than taxes.

4- Tort Reform.  Or court reform.  There needs to be a major rethinking about modern American utilization of the courts.  The American so called 'right to sue', in my mind, ranks right down there with the 'right to wear spandex in public'.  People need to realize when such a thing is indecent.

None of the above.....

A simple spine along with the conviction to say and do what you believe to be the right thing to do will please me just fine.

I think they call that leadership, but I'm certain there are some on this board that would prefer to simply feel good.

Not in any order of priority:

1.  Somone to stand up to the secularist infringements on my religious civil rights.

2.  Somone who promotes personal responsibility in govt programs.

3.  Somone who will secure our borders and possibly close them.

4.  Somone who's not going to let a once sided voice set environmental policy based soley on theory.  (see california forest fires, imperial sand dunes)

5.  Somone who is a strong second amendment supporter in it's entirety.

6.  Somone who is going to fight abortion every chance they get.

7.  Somone who is going to quit bailing out the stupid airlines....if they can't make a profit they shouldnt be in business.

8.  Schools and producing HS grads who arent dumber than a bucket of hair.  Sidenote:  I am also for ensuring every American student has the ability to go to college if they so desire.

thanks edbert... the first site made him look like some junk science environmental whacko that would sell us down the river to other nations...

I am glad you added the second site.  It was fair and balanced and made me think.  I never thought that kerrie and I would agree on anything but that site showed that we agreed on nearly everything.    It was good to hear just how he felt on the issues.
