Well...Texas with a few kalifornians is still better than anywhere else in the US:) The commute I can handle....not bein in a hurry is a fine thing.

I respect those that took some time to travel and learn of such things Sandman.

I learned about good seafood in Boston, good pizza in Chicago, and excellent Italian food in Italy and New York.

I'm going to Texas in a week, somewhere just outside Dallas I think. I plan on telling everyone there that there's only two things that come out of Texas: Steers 'n queers.

Shall be fun.

No Mayo?

Mayo is a must have on my burgers.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

I have eaten Mexican food in both Cal and Texas.  They are different.  You cannot seem to get good Tex-Mex in California (Bay area or LA), but you can get good real Mexican food.
Texas has a mix of both, depending on the part of Texas.

Like Italian food.  There is good American Italian food, then ther is good Italian food.  New York has the best of both.  You can get home made Italian in Little Italy, if you want it or you can get the best American Italian food as well.

Speaking of Italian there is this little restaurant about 5 minutes from my house called Salvator's and Sal (aka Salvator) is still the cook after many, many years. His Alfredo with white sauce is simply outstanding and nearly like the Italian girl I dated in college used to make. I have had good Italian food in New York and this is right up there with the best of the Italian food I have had.

We kind of hijacked the thread guys.  Let's get back to burgers.

What's your favorite cheese or cheese combination on a burger?

I do like a good aged extra sharp cheddar on mine.  Next would be a good baby swiss, then provolone.
