Erk! What an unflattering angle   Looks great though!

Ah, that's the kind of angle a Tempest should be seen at

Beware the Tempest - Holding 200rpg (compared to 140 for the Typhoon) in lighter Mk V hispanos, with a 'Spitfire' elliptical wing, and handling characteristics if anything superior to that of the Sea Fury that did so well in Korea, and its engine 100% suited to arena altitudes, this is possibly the ultimate non-jet perk plane   Can't wait!

Hey, just noticed something - Superfly, where are the gun blisters in the wing? I gotta admit, the wing looks a bit thick too, perhaps just the perspective?

Sorry Nath-BDP, but its sometimes hard to tell when a LW fan is joking and when they are in dead earnest.

My appologies.

Well, I'm sure if you saw the :P at the end of the post and not jumped into a reply you would have realized I was joking.

Thanks HTC,
Looks like I'll soon have acces to my favourite WWII fighter (providing I can afford it)!

Gentlemen,
Just think of this as a means of perk point transfer: From my meager total to the guy on my 6

Having said that I wouldn't mind a crack at flying a Ta-152 either.

Ugh, this is what I hate about the perk system.

A chog that climbs like a g10 and has more firepower than anything else.

What fun a matchup vs such a plane would be if you're amongst the "I hate perk system and won't use my perk points" crowd.

But nice job on it Superfly  .

Looks very nice!   I went looking for a different scheme becuse I though that it looked too much like the Typhhon. But....I really wish the RAF has used soem more camo schemes. Other than D-Day invasion stripes this scheme is spot on.

Karnak and Nath.  Go start your own TA-152 and Spit IX topics and stop wetting the floor of this one with your whines.

If it proves too powerful, Santa, it'll just require a more perk points. Besides, you've got to admit 190D9 vs Tempest V will be a fun matchup

Back to revision now methinks..

LOL, Westy, one of the reasons I really like reading your posts is because you tend to hold back your true feelings! Hehehehehe!

The D9 belongs in the MA.

These perk planes will not be much of a threat as most will cuddle them like their first born

Where is the P-40?  The Hurricane MKII? The F4F Wildcat?  The MiGG 3 or Pe2?  The Betty?

More firepower does not necessarily mean more fun!

Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.

I hope you're not starting a "perk the P-40" campaign!
