Last night's Daily Show

Anyone see it? Did anyone get to see the Daily Show catch Cheeny in another LIE??   When Cheeny said he had never meet Edwards before, it was a lie. They had meet before.

Also Cheeny told a round about lie about Edwards attendance rate. Cheeny himself had only been there 2x in 4 years..

I certainly hope you dont base all your arguements on what you heard on "The Daily show"

I will conceed the fact that Cheney lied about meeting Edwards.
That still doesnt change the fact that Edards attendance record is the third worst in the senate the other two being Kennedy (by 1 day) and a 99 year old man in ill health.

In the matter of the attendence record of Cheney. I havent seen any hard data on that to prove it and "the Daily Show" is a comedy show and as such has no requirements or obligation to have or even try to maintain any sort of credability. It sole job is to be funny. Not factual
Add that to the fact that while I agree it is a funny show, it leans so far to the left it should be renamed "righty"

Dont beleive me? Next time you watch, try keeping score.
Count the slams on the Dems as opposed to rebublican slams and you will they they arent exactly equal opportunity offenders

Assuming you may be right on Cheney's attendance.
One has to keep in mind he does already have another job, as vise president which one would think that he just might have more pressing matters to attrend to.
Particularly since his only real job in the senate is to be that of a tiebreaker in the event a vote comes to a tie.
Other then in the event of a tie which doesnt happen very often. he doesnt even get to vote.
Edwards on the other hand gets to vote on everything.

Therefore your's and "the Daily show" arguement on the attendence of Cheney is pretty much moot

what factual credibility would a comedy television show be expected to have?

Probably becaus its a comedy show.
Meaning it doesnt have to be credible. Just funny.
Im not even questioning the credibility of the subject at hand.

but the fact still remains on everything I said reguarding the two.

Edwards gets to vote on EVERYTHING

Cheney gets to vote ONLY in the event of a tie

Now in light of that, which of the two do you think it would be more important that they attend?

Like I said. Your argument is moot

Fact is though i was not arguing Edwards attendence. Could not care less..Guess your own tangent fooled you into thinking I was concerned about it? I am talking about Cheeny here and his lies...

OK,

Everyone who bagged on Rather for saying.. "Sure the info is bad, but the story about Bush's ANG service is good" and then said "sure Cheney lied, but Edward's attendance is bad" please report to the Hypocrite wing of the mental hospital... your room is waiting.

I bet you didn't why would a "news" program talk about that.

KERRY CLAIMS HE'S "NEVER, EVER" USED WORD "LYING" IN REFERENCE TO PRESIDENT BUSH ON IRAQ.  JIM LEHRER: "New question, Senator Kerry. Two minutes. You've repeatedly accused President Bush, not here tonight but elsewhere before, of not telling the truth about Iraq. Essentially, of lying to the American people about Iraq. Give us some examples of what you consider to be his not telling the truth." SEN. KERRY: "Well, I've never, ever used the harshest word as you just did."
(Sen. John Kerry, First Presidential Debate, Miami, FL, 9/30/04)

BUT IN DECEMBER 2003, KERRY TOLD NEW HAMPSHIRE EDITORIAL BOARD BUSH "LIED" ABOUT REASON FOR GOING TO WAR IN IRAQ.

"Kerry also told a New Hampshire newspaper editorial board Friday that Bush had 'lied' about his reasons for going to war in Iraq, a word Kerry has been reluctant to use publicly for months. Yesterday he said he did not plan to use the word again." (Patrick Healy, "Kerry Camp Lowers N.H. Expectations Behind In Polls, Senator Now Seeks Spot In 'Top Two,'" The Boston Globe, 12/8/03)

AND IN SEPTEMBER 2003, KERRY SAID BUSH ADMINISTRATION "LIED" AND "MISLED."

"This administration has lied to us. They have misled us. And they have broken their promises to us. The president promised to the people and the Congress that he would build an international coalition, respect the United Nations' process and only go to war as a last resort. I will tell you that from my war fighting experience, I believe there is a test for a president as to how you go to war. And that test is whether or not you can look in the eyes of parents and say to them, 'I did everything possible to avoid the loss of your son and daughter, but we had no other choice in order to protect the security of our nation,' and I know this president fails that test in Iraq." (Sen. John Kerry, Campaign Event, Claremont, NH, 9/20/03)

Kappa why have you given up trying to convince us that the 911 attacks were staged with buildings rigged to blow beforehand?

Why oh why Kappa? Why give up? There are still millions who blindly think it was just the planes, fire and gravity...
