 By that definition the people who vandalise signs etc are certainly not liberal
They are illiberal:
   1. Narrow-minded; bigoted.
   2. Archaic. Ungenerous, mean, or stingy.

Lacking liberal culture.

 I am pleased to see that the art of propaganda has not been lost.  Both sides really know how to dish it out.
