Lazs - you say that this trailer reflects that hard-nosed journalism by countering a kite flying scene?

Fingers chopped off, buncha burning buildings, some guy getting whacked in the back, some chick getting her head blown off and oh yeah.... Michael Moore is lying about something.

Dunno, or care about the topic, but this, "kite flying little girls and old men on park benchs snoozing in the sun. " was common enough in Stalinist Russia and even Nazi Germany. People will do what people will do, regardless of the politics or war status of a nation.

Notice you didn't say "lies".

But from their website: "The movie reveals the many lies..."

The trailer, however, gives no evidence that it's going to do that. It's just a Faces of Death.... to either disgust you, or scare you witless. It's pretty transpearent.

I have no idea wether the movie reveals the many lies of the MM phony documentary or not but it certainly wouldn't be too hard to do.

You're exaggerating Nash but the trailer does show some of the the horrors of living in Iraq under Hussein. Ignoring that reality as so many have is what allows them to deride the US for ousting Hussein.

Nash, maybe you should listen to what it's saying while watching it...
It quotes Michael Moore "I think these words need to be said on national television and that is There is no terrorist threat" while showing 9/11.
It quotes F 9/11, "A Dictatorship has its pro's and its cons", "If a Dictator provides free healthcare, I like that Dictator" (while in the background someone gets their fingers cut off,and another gets shot).

They are not going to tell you every lie in F9/11 from that trailer, they want you to buy the movie. That trailer just wants to catch your attention so you will look for it.

If you guys want to see a GOOD counter documentary to Moores film watch FarenHYPE 911.

It was well produced and totally shreds alot of the things Moore says and does in his film

It even has two of the "characters" in moores film that were never told they'd be in a major movie when conducting an interview.

One of them is a soldier explaining phantom limb pain. He lost his arms when a tire he was changing exploded. He was explaining phantom limb pain to a 3rd party and was never even told he was being filmed for a documentary.

I think it's available at overstock.com.

anyhow just my sudjestion.

as far as the celcius movie goes...I've seen a trailer for it on TV....the funniest thing in the world is a woman praising Sadam because he provided free health care for his people. He was a hero in her eyes. I saw a bunch of footage from various protestwarrior videos as well.
