The topic of killshooter comes up repeatedly and I'd like to get some straight feedback on two aspects of it.

First, how many times per month do you get killshot and how many hours do you play roughly?

Second, do you favor or disfavor killshooter?

Please do not discuss the mechanics of killshooter, alternatives to killshooter or the way multiplayer games work in this thread.

I think I have killshootered myself twice in all the time I've flown in AH.

I think it is the best system that could be implimented to keep whining to a minimum.

I only fly about five to ten hours a month now and have not been killshot in months. I can only recall five of six killshooter deaths in the four years that I've been subscribed to AH, most of them from hitting a friendly who's six I was trying to clear.

I think killshooter as it exists is a good thing and have not seen any alternative proposed that would be as good or better.

A couple of times in 2 years. both times some hero flew right through my plane from behind while I was firing. I would rather see your ammo counter go to zero instead of killshooter personally.

Probably under 10 times since I started flying Aces High. I'd like to say I've given a KS on purpose more than 10 to those guys 100- firing over your shoulder.

I accidently casued somebody to killshooter for the first time (I know about) recently. I've been killshootered maybe 3 times in 2-3 years, lightly pinged a half dozen others.

The #1 KS situation IMO,,,and happens way to often...
Your diving down to Drop eggs on VH, GV or Town with Jabo,
You Announce on range voxx your comin in... and someone goes low on strafe run at same tme,,,and your bombs hit him, KS.
The enemy guy who gets the credit always just happens to be a "Rival" of yours, and then taunts ya on chn200 or private

I hate that, lol

I dont think it should change, but if u hear someone announce that, or hear whistling sound of eggs comin down, watch out !:D

I get killshot perhaps 3 times a year. It's always the same...I'm zoomed in firing at an enemy and someone flies between us, or someone strafes a town at low level just after I've dropped a bomb from 5-6k. Last night I had a 2 kill mission going and was strafing a GV, when a friendly goon flew over the GV very, very low. I stopped firing, but the cannon shells already on the way caught the goon in the cockpit, and blood splattered all over my cockpit and then I died.

Overall, though, the killshooter system is better than the alternative. I'd rather be victimized occaisionally, but unintentionally, than regularly and on purpose (which is probably what would happen).

From 1999 up to earl 2004 I averaged .11 occasions per month that I managed to shoot myself down due to firing on a friendly

Related poll: Posting a purile whine about any of those accidents?" I scored that as an incredible "zilch."

*for the mathematically challenged that is 4 times over the course of 36+ months of flying in AH.

i'd say less than 10 times accidently over almost 3 years.

deliberately? well.. ummm heh... proabbly more than 10 times.

killshooter is fine the way it is, altho i'd personally like to see both shooter *and* shootee take damage. normal damage for the shootee, current damage for the shooter.

I've been KS'd by bomb blast more than anything else...3-4 times maybe...once or twice via the ol "fly thru". Probably caused a few the same way so it evens out...

Been playing AH now I think a little over 2 years.
I play easily on 3-5 hours per night.

I probably average less then 1 per every 6 months

I don't know. Wouldn't that unfairly damage the guy in front that had no idea someone swooped in and was trying to steal his kill firing over his shoulder and hitting him before it was to late? It also could be abused by the 2nd - 4th ackack congo line chasers upset they didnt get the kill.

Maybe 10-12 times in 2yrs.

I can't think of any one certain way i've been k/s. It's happened trying to clear nme's off friendly buff formations, they go boom, and my bullets keep going into the buffs. A couple times maybe dropin' an egg on a town w/ a friendly gv 2 close (that was more AH1 when bomb splash dmg was greater). A few times saddled up on an nme, and friendly zooms infront of me.

I've shot squadies and killshot myself 2many times to remember.

K/S never has bothered me much.

In roughly 4.5 years of playing, I'd say about 5-6 times.

When a friendly flies in front of you, stop firing.

Like in WW2.
