I'm looking at adding a PCI card w/ video out to my pc for cheap.

Has anyone used this card before....if so how well does it handle playing movies/tv out?

I'm not looking for any type of gaming performance....this one is just to add to my computer to hook it up to the TV.

Bad.  Very bad.  Ick.

Ok so I didnt read all of your post lol.

This card is fine for TV out and playing movies, etc.  Its not for gaming.  It was basically designed as a cheapo alternative for small businesses that needed multi-monitor support but couldnt afford high-end cards.  They chopped up the 3d engine pretty harshly but it should do what you want it to.

I have this card in my Blue & White Macintosh G3 (believe it or not, I have a couple Macs too).

With a G3 at 500 MHz (think, oh, Pentium II at 400 or so) it can play DVDs full-screen without stuttering.

My card lacks a video out jack for TVs and such, so I can only comment on computer output.
