maybe a resizing of the squad number limits should be considered?
say
2 to 9
9 to 16
16 to 22
22 to 28

this might allow for when extra squad members show up unexpectedly
"When one considers just what they should say to a new pilot who is logging in Aces High, the mind becomes confused in the complex maze of info it is necessary for the new player to know. All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC

Ahem ... squads are allowed to go under their max by 2 and under their min by 2. With this in mind:

    Squads who were fine
    Rogue 4-6= 4 Axis
    Shill 7-10= 5 Allied (7-2 = 5 for min)
    Damned 4-6= 6 Axis
    DoW 7-10= 6 Allied
    Sickpups 4-6=7 Axis
    Gravediggers 4-6= 3 Allied
    FATE 7-10 = 12 Allied
    332 11-15= 9 Axis (11-2 = 9 for min)
    USMC 11-15= 9 Axis (11-2 = 9 for min)
    880th 4-6= 8 Allied (6+2 = 8 for max)
    AK's 11-15= 12 Axis
    412th 7-10= 5 Allied (7-2 = 5 for min)
    MAW 7-10= 10 Axis
    325th 4-6 = 6 Allied

    Squads No Shows
    Bop 7-10= no show Allied

    Squads Under Min Limit
    Airmageddon 11-15= 7 Allied (11-2 = 9 for min) , under by 2

    Squads Over Max Limit
    Nightmares 16-21= 25 Axis (21+2 = 23 for Max), over by 2
    JB's 4-6 = 9 Axis (6+2 = 8 for Max) , over by 1
    [/list]

Also there was a squad in Frame 1 .. 54th Screaming Eagles. Did they change their name for frame 2? Or registered under a different name? They were not in frame 2.

Also who is the ES squad? Are they part of III/Jabostaffel?

Wish we could Tequila, but the inherent problem with doing that is Admin CM’s can’t balance numbers well. When squads have too wide a range then it is impossible to balance numbers.

When squads sign up or commit their numbers for the next Squad Ops their options are:
    4-6
    7-10
    11-15
    16-21
When we look at the numbers we allow squads to go 2 under and 2 over the above numbers. So in actuality they are allowed:
    2-8
    5-12
    9-17
    14-23

Tequila you can see this is actually quite close to what you suggested. If squads fall out of the above ranges then they get a warning. If they keep doing it I always suggest Admin CM’s drop them. Of course if a squad is a no show with out good reason they are dropped also.

Yes GD ES is Jabostaffel III squad.

    Thanks for explaining GD, daddog
I was unaware of the 2 under/2 over rule

OK, the system is officially broken.

Shillealgh hasn't been 7-10 since AH2 was released.

    We're 4-6 and had 5 pilots.

This isn't the first time that we've been incorrectly represented (once we were even listed at 11-15 for some reason), and with such inaccuracies in the squad allocations, it's no wonder that we had a 2/1 disparity.

Well if that is the case then III/Jabostaffel went way over their numbers. Considering there were two squads in frame 2.

    III/Jabostaffel = 9
    ES = 7

Meaning they went over by 8 even factoring in the +2 over max.

I don't know how it does it, but I slated JBz 7-11. It's ben that number since the beginning of time.

Also GD, did you notice that ES and III/Jabo had a lot of the same pilots listed. I know I'm good, but to fly in 2 different squads at the sametime would be God-like.

There are some serious problems with the way records are kept and submitted. Lets try to find them before we start accusing squads of being anything but legit participants.

Yep .. not sure what is going on there while it is duplicating you guys twice. Will have to have the programmer look at it. The bug only seems to be picking on you JBs.
