It disturbs me that we spent a campaign talking about a 30 year old war, homosexuals, family values, and nothing was said about 1 billion competitors trudging to our door.

On 9-11, we said "didn't see that comming." We shouldn't say that again. We have a problem. We're a consumer society used to consuming the majority of the world's resources. All of a sudden another big fish has been thrown into the bowl and its hungry. So in a few years do we say "didn't see that comming" ?
