Actually... you caught it before I deleted the post.

Michigan isn't as close as I though.  I thought I'd clicked on the UP, but had inadvertantly hit wisconsin.  I thought the lead had gone from 120k votes down to 15k votes.  Turns out Michigan just dropped from a 120k kerry lead down to an 85k kerry lead.

I'm enjoying CNN (web) right now.  They have a pretty decent map that breaks everything down by county and actual vote tally's with the "percent precincts reporting" number.  They decided to call Ohio "too close to call" in order to keep people interested.  Michigan, which has a closer race, has been handed over to the dems.  New Mexico, which will seemingly be the "over 270" state for GWB has not been reported on because... well... that would mean the elections were over and there's still so much to report.

Talk about creating drama.

It's 52% bush to 47% kerry with 97% of the precincts reporting.  It's pretty safe to write it off.

Still about 30,000 votes out in NM. Looks like Nader may win it for Bush there.

Another quote.

Quote
“We’ve waited four years for this victory. We can wait one more night,” Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina, the Democratic vice presidential candidate, told cheering supporters in Boston.

Saw the exact same quote, but the bold four was spelled 'for'.

Funny how one letter changes the meaning of something.

? how does 2,960 votes for Nader cause kerry to lose by 30,000 votes?

I have yet to see a state where Nader votes made the difference.. or even amounted to 10% of the deficit.  I was wondering when someone would go to this one.  It makes me wonder if it was just habit?  Maybe you could just look at the numbers for yourself and stop coming off so foolish.

They are not all counted yet MiniDork. It looks like it will be about 9- 10 % of the difference right now. Let me rephrase it so you can pull your panties out of your crack, he hurt him. Happy?

The deal with New Mexico not being called yet is that absentee ballot estimates range from 100,000 - 200,000. Even with the low figure of 100,000 that could very well change the results.

There has been some suggestion that the exit polls were accurate implying that perhaps votes were being stolen. What a load of crap. Far, far, more likely that the pollsters were either biased or incompetent.
