The exit polls are just as wrong this year as they were when they were saying Gore won Florida in 2000 when Bush had a 15% lead in actual votes from reporting precincts.

Exit polls have been Bravo Sierra for years, and 2000 and 2002  proved that they could not be trusted. This year should put the last nail in the coffin of exit polls.

As I watch election coverage tonight, most were steadfastly refusing to accept them as valid, and refused to call any race in any state on the basis of exit polls.

Exit polls have long outlived their usefullness and need to be done away with. I'd like to see all news organizations simply refuse to have anything to do with them.  They provided nothing more than bad window dressing this year, and at least no news agency got burned by them.

The Kerry campaign got burned badly by the exit polls. They should have known better. If they allow themselves to be dragged into a hopeless battle on the basis of exit polls no one else would trust, then they deserve to destroy themselves, and if the party goes for it, they deserve to go down with them.

Yeah.. dems aren't ready to concede Ohio just because they lost it... there needs to be more than that... right?

Isn't this what the republicans were supposed to be doing?  I mean... 130,000 votes isn't really necessatating a recount... right?

And RPM... my panties aren't in a bunch.  You're simply being stupid for the sake of... um... being stupid.  "New Mexico is heavy dem" was seemingly proven wrong.  As was "Nader caused the loss".  I know these were prepped responses in the case of a loss, but you really should look at the votes.  Now all you have to fall back on is that the republicans most likely cheated in all of the states they just barely won.

Hate him?  Bush has the popular vote by almost 4 million.  Step away from the crack pipe.  He won Ohio.  He has a clear lead in New Mexico and Iowa.

rpm.. the reason Bush hasn't declared victory is because he is giving kerrie the chance to concede like a man....

I think this is hurting an allready tainted party... their meddling in Florida in 2000 cost em 300,000 votes there.... medling in Ohio will seal the state for republicans for next time.

I have lost even more respect for the democrats and their army of poor losers and marxists.

What is happening over there?

"the democrats and their army of poor losers and marxists."

I think the democrats are very far from beig marxists! Go read up on Mr Marx mate.

"This does not apply to the liberal whacko crownd"

Liberal Whackos? A) your spelling is a tad poor and B) I fear you are a bit of a right wing whacko yourself.  ( Personaly I think wa*ker is a much better word than whacko!! But who am I to say.)

I think the last place on earth you'll find a true Marxist is in the states. Even in the Democratic party. We don't even have many left in our Labour party. I would think that Nepal is about the last place Marxists actualy live. Oh no hang they are Maoists. Lol

Real Marxism is extinct.

Mind you I am glad we have got a free National Health Service over here
