auto pilot problems

Need some help with this one. Can't seem to keep the plane on auto more than 15 seconds or so. hand off controls, hit auto, lights on
plane levels, then pop of it goes. What am I missing.

set you dead space higher in the setup menu you have a lot of wiggle in the joystick basicly and its turning off the auto.

Spiking can cause this as well.

Go to Set-up --> Joystick

Watch the scope for a while make sure that it does not spike.  Joystick re-calibration may be neccessary and as Indian said you might need to adjust you deadband sliders upwards a bit.

Hmm  often I can't get it to release and end up riding it into the ground in the heat of "combat".

im using Force feedback pro and havin same problem i just try and center it and hope it stays

Try Robert's settings , they are working ok on my MS FFBack stick . But you still have to center the joystick before it will stay in auto trim .
