Hehe ... I'll defer to Dan on this. Pretty sure the 90th bomber group sported either flat OD or polished aluminum. I know of no B-24s painted blue except for the Navy variants and those were definately blue. You'll see this type of blue tinting on artist profiles of aluminum aircraft often.

Theres a very good chance it was.  It probably wore off some and needed another coat of a dark color for replacement.

I much prefer this color, 3C3727, over the green you have.  Thats the HTML number I believe.

If you can give me it in PSP color, tint and shade numbers that would help. I either use those or the dropper.

NM ... I've alwys ignored the html box.

Opted to just make it the same color as the tail. Both of which I made a bit darker than the profile.

Raptor, Im pretty sure that its a lighting effect.  No B-24s that Ive ever seen in pictures or in real life have ever had a painted on blue tint to them.

The only US service I know of that had any form of blue on them were the Navy birds.

Yep no blue on top.  It was all weight saving, maint stuff at that point.

Many of the all blue F7s that went to the Pacific had the paint stripped off for the weight savings etc, as well.
