at sep 17 most of Polish forces was ordered to regroup near romanian border. WHen russian attack us, HQ order to pass border with romania. They where imprisoned in POWs camps but romanians dont pay attention to them.
Most of them escape, take papers from our ambassy and as civilians travel by small groups thrue yugoslawia, egipt, italy to france. Som direct to england.
I can be wrong but i thing 6000+ escape like that
