I'm the problem? I said I'd work if it wouldn't screw everything up.
People like us NEED welfare. If we didn't have welfare, I wouldn't even be here. I wouldn't be in this house, we wouldn't have a car, and we definately wouldn't have money for food. My dad would've been dead, too.
I, as well as others, are not the lazy-ass people you think we are. Working would be great, but as I said... We'd be screwed if we did.
Oh, and I'd like to mention that we did "try to take action". My dad started selling insurance again about two years ago, but he got *really* sick from moving all over the place, and just couldn't continue. The government knew about it, and they reduced our food stamps from $350 a month to the $245 we get now. And let me tell you... $350 wasn't even enough to really get by the month.
Yes, there are people who cheat to get welfare --- but most of us really do need it, and don't have many ways of getting out of the situations we're in.
