The Hot Sound of Hate
A fast-growing CD outfit hawks white power at school

By Sarah Childress and Dirk Johnson
Newsweek

Nov. 29 issue - In a cramped upstairs den in South St. Paul, Minn., a CD blares with fury. "Hang the traitors of our race," the singer screams, "White supremacy! White supremacy! Whiiiite supremacy!" Byron Calvert, 33, leans back in his chair, smiling and snacking on veggies. Calvert is a mountainous man with a swastika tattoo, a prison record and a racist dream. He runs Panzerfaust Records, a five-year-old company that has quickly become one of the top "white power" record labels in the country. Hundreds of bands in America and Europe produce such hate music. If Calvert has his way, their fans will soon be multiplying. In September he launched Project Schoolyard, a plan to snag kids 13 to 19 by distributing 100,000 free CDs of such bands as Day of the Sword, H8 Machine and Final War. Calvert cares less about the melody than the message. "We hook 'em with the music," he says, and then kids learn—and buy—more online. As his Web site declares, "We don't just entertain racist kids, we create them!"

Though Calvert's reluctant to give numbers, watchdog groups estimate that Panzerfaust pulls in about $1 million a year. Calvert says America is full of p---ed-off white kids sick of having multiculturalism stuffed down their throats, and resentful of gangsta rappers who rip on white boys like them. "You can be black and racist and have an illustrious career. If you're white and racist, you might end up going to jail."

Experts say most kids who heed the music's message feel alienated from mainstream culture, unsure about their future or place in society. White-power rock groups seize on their insecurities, and make them feel that they're worthy—indeed, superior—simply because their skin is white.

As screwed up as this guy is, he has a point. Rappers degrade caucasians and women, yet they are considered "artists" not hate mongers.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Panzerfaust is actually owned  by a Hispanic named  Anthony Pierpont. His has a criminal reocrd that includes selling drugs. His sister works for Porn Star Clothing.

Bryant Calvert's real name is  Bryant Cecchini. He has a long criminal record that includes a 1989 felony conviction for stabbing two people. He went to prison for 43 months in that case. He worked for Resistance Records (another racist record label) and was fired. When he left he stole the Resistance Records mailing list and was hired to run Panzerfaust by Pierpont.

Here's a link to Panzerfaust

These guys should be under TERRORIST watch list. Your gov should think beyond how many sheep or cows they have

They may be no threat to your country right now but would have effects/undermine the lives of minorities inside US. And would end the country as we know it.. The UNTED STATES OF AMERICA.

These folks are under constant surveillance but these folks are just opportunists trying squeeze a few dollars out of confused kids. While they may feed poison to children that is about as far as they go.

The ones that are a real threat in terms of terrorism and violence aren't the ones selling this stuff.

They follow the principles of the 'Leaderless Resistance' as articulated by Louis Beam.

Search the internet for Robert J. Mathews and you will see how far some of the real bad guys are willing to go.

Not that I agree with their message but are they not entitled cosntitutional rights of freedom of speech?  Muslims are aloud their hate speech of "infidels" and jews.  Blacks are aloud their hate speech against "the man", and as we all know (airhead) that's code word for white people.

Like I said, it's not that I aprove their message but don't they have a constitutional right to freedom of expression?

There's not much in that paragraph that I disagree with.  I honestly don't think these guys feed any less poison to their audience than rappers do.

Racism is a juggling act, just when you think you have a rhythm, a ball drops, and nothing is as black and white as it was before.

Rappers do not degrade whitemen. They degrade the powers that be. When they speak of white america they are speaking to those that are in power, conservatives and the people who still think we should be picking cotton. Emenim is at this point in time targeting these people the most. By the way he is the top selling rapper out there. Do you know that the majority of people who buy rap music are white kids in the suburbs?

But let me get this straight, rap music affects the black community because black kids will want to be like these rappers. But white kids who listen to Panzerfaust wont try to follow them?

so when a rapper degrade whites we should just know that they aren't racists and mean those in power or those who are racists.

but when a white guy says that blacks have ruined the neighborhood he grew up in, he's still a racist right?
even if he means the thugs, the pushers, and the gang-bangers, and doesn't mean to include the hardworking, black families, who contribute to the community, pay their bills and raise their kids to respect others, in his generalization.

I'm really starting to get the hang of this double standard thing.

I never said this music wasn't dangerous, offensive, rascist, or that kids would fall in line with it's message.  I don't even think that it is on the same level as some rap music. so please don't put words in my mouth...err...keyboard that I didn't say.

Do you not think that these guys, however, offensive have the rights of freedom of expression and speech?  If not were do you draw the line to say what is exceptable and what is not?  Then I pose to you would it not be descrimination to bann this music as hate speach when other music (some rap specifically) degrades woman and poisens the minds of youths?

What I do disagree with is that a black man can say and do the same things and he's an "entertainer".  My whole point is that due to "white guilt" there is a double standard in this country.

If people want to speak out against the "powers that be" for wanting black's to go back to "picking cotten" or whatever it is offensive to me that they referr to the "powers that be" as whitey.

Now don't get me wrong, as much as I hate most rap music (not all mind you) I beleive the same protections and rights should be aforded to rappers as I do these scumbags mentioned in this article.  It just strikes me as discrimination and smells of racism when somone wants to bann one and not the other.  Isn't the fight against racism about ending ALL racism and discrimination....not just for blacks?

Yah seriously, besides those being the names of rappers everybody knows of can you remember any lyrics that specifically were filled with racism.  Not saying there arent any, but I know my fair share of rap and I cant think of any specific lyrics?
