Undercover Brother, starring Chris Kattan. Not a Wayan's movie, but extremely funny. Dave Chapelle also does a cameo as the "conspiracy brother", and it's his 2nd funniest role, just shy of Half Baked.

edit: Oh yeah, Denise Richards is hot.

No, you are the one stating 'ideas'. A question is not an 'idea'. As to the movies it appears to me that you are caricature straight out of one...

Again what idea?

But just for you I will give it one more go...

You said:

Quote
Nike is owned by a white man.

Technically incorrect since Nike is a public corporation but no biggie.

The implication here is that corporations are profiting indirectly from drug sales. Of course that’s stating the obvious. So are music companies, car dealers, gold chain dealers etc, and any other businesses in those areas.

It's not some great revelation.

But you go on from there to say:

Quote
If you think that the drugdealer on the corner has enough money and power to have ties with columbians to bring drugs into this country you are misimformed.

First you bring up Nike corporation profiting from drug sales then jump right into 'the drug dealers in the neighborhood can't get access to drugs on their own'.

So you have corporation, (Nike), owned by a 'white man’ and incompetent neighborhood drug dealers.

Corporation + white man + neighborhood drug dealers = my question to you:

Quote
Do you think the 'white guy' or 'guys' who own 'Nike' import drugs?

Your answer =

Quote
I believe... those who sale the drugs is some well to do white guys in the suburbs...

I have read numerous other 'black leaders' and ‘activists’ make similar claims. I have read them claim the CIA invented crack and as well as AIDS.

In fact there's a recent thread I posted in this o'club about the Nigerian Nobel laureate who made exactly that claim about AIDS. Search for that thread if you like.

So my 'ideas' were nothing more then a 'question' based on your reply. It has since been answered.

I don't know how to make it any more simple for you to understand.

Wotan you are not understanding what I am telling you. Nike has nothing to do with drugs. If what you are trying to put into my mouth were true then Cadillac would be the behind all this. He was just using Nike as an example because whether you want to believe it or not most bball shoes are made for the hip hop culture. Goes along with that whole urban wear thing. Do you know what that is?

And by the way although NIKE is a corporation Mr. Phil is said to own 90% of it. So technically I am correct.

I understand full well what you said.

Yet you can't comprehend that I haven't been repeating myself because I 'don't get you'.

You asked about my 'ideas'.  I told you several times that I have no 'idea'. I asked a simple question in regards to this statement made by you:

Quote
If you think that the drugdealer on the corner has enough money and power to have ties with columbians to bring drugs into this country you are misimformed.

I asked you to 'inform me' that is all. You danced a jig to get there but you finally answered.

Anything beyond that is all in your mind.

FYI since you aren't so 'well informed':

Phil Knight doesn't own 90% of the stock he owns about 28% of the voting shares of Nike Class B stock, worth about $6.12 billion.

He recently announced he would resign as president and CEO but retain his position as chairmen.  Knight will be replaced by William Perez.

Spanish name? Columbian perhaps?...

I stand corrected on the amount of ownership he has.
Goes to show you gotta do research sometimes. 28% is still a rather large chunk of a corporation and I bet Mr Perez doesnt own quite that much.

Can we move on and discuss something else, this is almost as fun as having a discussion with Lazs.

Shall we move on to your comment about black leaders and this whole "conspiracy theory" towards the black man. I dont agree with the whole CIA and drugs or AIDS being used against black people although I do believe it is some lab experiment gone bad. I will tell you that, things these so called black leaders say should not be viewed as the sole voice from the black community. That is why I did not understand why you were going on and on about that.

If you noticed I used quotes

Quote
'black leaders' and ‘activists’

I certainly don't think that those types are the only voice of blacks and or minorities. These folks just get a lot of the publicity.

They, themselves, may or may not believe these types of claims and only make them to get noticed. George Lincoln Rockwell, founder of the American Nazi Party, did the same type of thing. Make an outrageous public claim then take advantage of the publicity that followed.

Well I guess this has run its course...
Until next time, because there will be as long as members of this board continue to bring up these racial issues.

Im glad we had this discussion.

Well I just want to point out that the original post servers a purpose by informing folks of some the extremes that are out there in the world.

I have an extensive knowledge of most white racial groups in America and world wide for that matter. My participation in this thread was originally limited to providing additional information. I made similar posts in other threads with same subject matter.

I didn't participate in the 'Rap is more racist' or any of that nonsense.

In fact I said:

Quote
Rap for the most part isn’t political or filled with white hatred as it is degrading to women and humanity in general.

I believe that because so much of it objectifies women and others.

I am neither a leftist egalitarian nor a Christian but I believe anything that takes away from a person's humanity is bad.

On the hand I am far more 'right wing' then most on this board. I recognize that race is one of the defining social problems the US has to face. I just don't think that we can arrive at a 'solution' unless we are willing to face facts for what they are and take responsibility for our own individual lot in life.

Those on the left have tendency to shift responsibility in order to avoid being offensive or to excuse a certain set of behaviors.

It doesn't matter who 'imports the dope' or who ‘profits’ from it. As I said above it’s the demand that makes drug dealing profitable. The people who buy the 10 dollar rocks or the 10 dollar bags of weed are the ones financing the importation of drugs. With no costumers the drug dealers and drug lords shrivel up and die.

I am not implying that only minorities are involved in drug dealing and drug use but its undeniable the impact drugs have had on some minority communities.

Although the rap industry does degrade women, the biggest defender of all is the porn industry but for some reason it doesnt seem to matter.

Apples and oranges.

Rap talks about women, glamorizing male potency at their expense. Porn employs them, paying them, on average, 3 times what it does their male counterparts(saw a documentary on this on HBO last Sunday). The fact that both inevitably lead to a disparaging view of women is definitely unfortunate, but porn, at least for the women who make their living doing it, actually empowers them--abeit in a way most people would consider reprehensible.

To be fair, Jamusta, I think there are far more people that think porn is gross than do rap.
