I think someone said 2.5, why not 1.0?

I was told it is 2.0

The reason for this is, that due to the relatively small size of the map, and short duration of the typical flights in the MA, realistic fuel use would be ridiculous.  For example a B17 could fly close to 10 hours or more on full tanks.  Even the short range aircraft would have no problems flying across the map and back, which does not represent the advantages/disadvantages the actual aircraft had.  The 109's known for short endurance are a good example.  By putting the multiplier at 2.0 a relative endurance that is to scale with the map, and stil represents each aircrafts individual endurance.
