Question to Shane
« on: November 28, 2004, 01:55:31 PM »
I've heard your name brought up a lot as a great pilot. I was just wondering if you could post a few films on here that I could d/l and watch? Thanks

Dud, just use the SEARCH button and type in search for his films.  LOTS of films on the bbs.

just make sure they are Aces High II films and not Aces High films.

the older Aces high films will not work in the AH2 film viewer

Shane is good, but some other players to look for are

Leviathn
Drex
Nomak
WldThing
Sniper

to name a few, also you can learn different things from just about any film you watch, it does not have to be a film of  some of the names already named.......the main thing is to know what you are looking for in a film and how to "read" the manuevers being used in a film.

why a certian manuever is used at a given instance, and why a different choice of manuever was not  is key....

watch for Energy states at the time the manuevers are executed ( Energy states = E  which is speed , alt or both together.....speed = Kinetic energy  Alt = potential energy )

viewing films to learn how to use E, maintain E, and preform High G and Low G manuevers is another thing to look for

watch for how many times the pileit is switching his views ( SA - Situational awareness )

watch how the pilot flies without constantly remaining in forward view

learning how to fly and switch up direction while in another view besides forward is something to practice as well

you can also email all the Aces High trainers at

trainers at aceshigh.com

if you want to schedule some 1 vs 1 training or work on any particular subject

Actually TC I have a whole crop that is about ready for you & ren. That is they have the basics of flying, & a simple merge or 2. But are ready to learn about energy & some mid level tatics.

Alpha, Mulligan, Superdud, are just a few.
Potential for some very good sticks in a few months out of this group.

All righty then, Daddy-O  will keep my eye out for them!
