Did anyone know that it was an Eskimo tradition, way back when, to take their old out and leave them on the ice, far from the village, when they became invalid. Sounds cruel but in reality, given the living conditions, the Eskimos really weren't able to support a very large non-able-bodied population.
Now, I bet modern people would probably be outraged by this long-dead practice, but secretly, I think most of them wish it was legal for them to do the same.
