I wouldn't put Randy Moss on any all time team ever. Any guy that openly admits to taking plays off when the ball isn't coming his way should not be considered for an "All Time Team" in any sport. I will give him his due since he is a phenomenal wide reciever. However there are many more with as much ability who do more with it than what he does.

Anyway here is my version of the team. Several of these offensive guys I have had an opportunity to meet on different occasions. Namely John Hannah, Anthony Munoz, Ozzie Newsome and Dwight Stevenson.

Just a thought.   Names to kick around.

Otto Grahm played 10 years......in those 10 years he was the starting QB in the Title game.

Also.....John Unitas...voted best QB of all time by NFL and Coaches.  Another QB that refused to lose.

Recent... Bret Farve...he refuses to lose, plays like a guy running in the middle of a Jailbreak.....and is more fun to watch play QB imho at this time then anyone else.  Plus....I think he'd play if he got paid by the hour.

Linebackers....a crew from the mid 60s' to early 70s' I thought were awesome were The KC Chiefs LBs.  Bobby Bell, Jim Lynch and Willie Lanier......played as a group better then anything I've seen.

Guy on defense that could singlehandidly ruin an offensive scheme.  Lawrence Taylor.  He made offensive linemen sweat and QBs run for their lives.  Was fast from sideline to sideline and could wreck a game by himself.

DBs'   Mel Renfro, Dick "Night Train" Lane....Night Train name self explanatory

Safetys.  Larry Wilson  Jack Tatum...a combo of smarts and  nuclear capability.

RB...Jim Brown......voted best player of the first 50 years of the NFL and selected the "Player of the Millineum"  He averaged 5.2 yards per carry......and 100 yards a game.  Many have since overtaken his former record of yards gained.  He did it when the Schedule was 12....then expanded to 14 games.  Last game he played in was the Pro Bowl.....by the way, he was voted most valuable player in that, his last game.

Just names I thought I'd throw out......as with many topics, this too is debatable.

Greatest Team I ever saw......hate to say this being a life long Browns Fan.....The Pittsburgh Steelers from the mid to late 70s'
Think the whole dam team is in the Hall of Fame....or soon will be.

OH!  And best Kicker?  Lou Groza.....why you think they named the award the Groza Award?

Coach?  Paul Brown....innovator, first to use a playbook, first to use Film as a tool to prepare for upcoming opponent.  Browns HAD to travel in a suit and tie....look professional. Many more innovations.

I've been a Viking fan now for close to 35 years (long story and no I've never been to minnesota let alone lived there)

That being said I woudnt include Moss on any all time team either.

There are several I would pick.
Paul Krause, Jim Marshal, Alan Page.

But I wouldnt pick Moss...Not yet  Mainly because of his attitude. And while he has been showing signs of maturaty.
Untill he shows it on a consistant basis he doesnt deserve to be on any "greatest players ever" list

He was a great coach in my view simply for this reason right here. One thing that truly pisses me off about college football teams is the other point you made here. So many of them these days travel in warm up suits that its ridiculous. There is only one team here in Alabama that I know of that travels in coat and tie and that is the University of Alabama and the previous coaches after Gene Stallings didn't require that at all. The newest one Mike Shula brought it back to showing some class when you come to town and how you leave town after the game.
