To Be Honest - IL2 FB-AEP-PF has the best eye candy in the world but you have to be a potato peeling rocket scientist to get the potato peeling thing to run well.  I tried with IL2 FB and never could get it running well, bought PF because those are the planes I really want to fly and carrier stuff.  Runs like crap.  My Machine...

Intel p4 2.53, ASUS P4S533E,  512 Ram ( Yeah I have to get to a Gig ), ATI 9700 Pro.

Honestly I'd rather spend my time shooting Mother Fkers down then configuring and reinstalling drivers etc.  So I put Ubi BS down and log into always successful AH!!

Plust I hate the potato peeling Ubisoft, Microsoft business model.  A new potato peeling game every few months.  Keep spending, keep installing, keep breaking my balls.  This version not compatable with that version on and on Fk Ubi Soft!!!  Too much BS for a stupid computer game, especially when there is AH!

It definately gave me some new respect for the way HTC is doing things.

Never mind..It's shrapnel now...

No regrets is all I have to say.

that "shrapnel" could have got you a couple of months of AH if you'd put it up on Ebay ....

You can have them installed at the same time, but not in the same directory. You wouldn't even have had to uninstall Il2 in the first place. FB includes all of Il2 anyway, and then adds more stuff.

don't think its the machine, must be the operator .. then again you were a skerry supporter last Nov :)

runs fine on my box:
AMD 2600XP (2.1 ghz)
1 gig of 266 ram
9800 ATI

as for the $$$
I have spent much more on AH at $30 and $15 a month pop than I have on the IL2 box sims series (3 x $40)

I prepay AH 6 months in advance...If I ever have to uninstall/reinstall..It's only 1 click away.

And loggin onto AH BBS to get help is never a problem..unlike Ubisoft.

Can't wait when some got it to work but than get shot online 100x.

Just because they have to learn to fly again.

Of course it's the operator and the set up, the same system runs it fine for others so somethings out of whack, but I would rather fly in AH then fk around with the BS from Ubi Soft just to do it all over again.

Although your respons is completely what I expect from  a Bush lover! :)   Useless and of no help.   :)  Keep the Blinders on!:aok  lolh

Yes but you need to use the old exe.

There isn't one out (at least that I have found) for the new_exe.

PF will run off either exe.

hmmm. Ill try that thanks.

2.0 Ghz, 512 DDR Ram, 64mb GF4 MX, Omega drivers

I get GREAT performance, its all about defragging, the right drivers, and toying with the options.

I can work it on High prety well, can't do perfect because of the card, but other than that, splendid.

No your point is that you can't even figure out how to get it off the cd correctly so can play.

Forget about tweaking the game you will just hurt yourself.
