Don't know why but it wont run...6 Cd's..Il2,FB(2 discs),AEP, and PF(2 discs)...All installed and updated..It don't run!("Please insert the correct disc")..ok..Ya got me..I tried em all.

ubisoft wont even let me log on BBS and ask for help..I can't even register a new unporked name as it only allows 1 user per email...and it wont resend my old player name or password!

3 hours later after trying everyting to get this this running...I finally found the fix.

a pair of green handled sheet metal snips.


Getting something to work outta that box shouldn't be a hassle...I think that's it for me with boxed sims.

Worked fine for me out of the box.

Don't know why you just didn't ask here, you must know there are people here with it.

Are you using a CDRW drive as your primary CD drive? If so the copy protection  hate those and I found a work around when I had a similar situation.

When I was installing the games I would have to hold down the left Shift key while inserting the next CD into the drive. Also there is a .dll file that may not have installed properly into the game directory.

Boo f'in hoo. Run AH2 and have to dumb it down to 1024, all sliders to  performance, and still get lag on cable when it was glass 3 years ago on a machine 1/10th that plays HL2 this afternoon.

BTW, Il2-FB-PF runs super sweet on my machine. Did you take the "where I would like to live, and put adware on my computer" test lately?

Been toying with Il2 for years...Yesterday I had many pleasurable flights with some ex EAW buddies flyin in various squads in IL2.

My main beef is why the heck do I have to install 6 discs(and patches??)...Give me a blikin 1click link with a no CD crack included(like AH2)..No hassles...I can register proof of purchase once..Give me a CD key like in KALI.

U hassle me u get no business from me and I bad mouth you elsewhere.

i had same problem, fresh install on PF.

A no CD patch fixes it

IL2 was a game...

then...

FB was new game

AEP was an addon

PF is an addon

All these were released over 4 years not all at 1 time.

All you needed to do was buy the FB gold pack (FB +PF) install it then install PF.

The current Patch is 3.01 and then there is a beta patch 3.02bm (but everyone seems to have dl'd it so you will most likely need it to play on most online servers).

BM stands for:

B = Beta
M = Merged (FB +AEP + PF)

Then there is a new exe.

All you need to do is dl a modified RTS (No CD) and use the old exe. Currently there isn't a 'no-cd' hack for the new exe.

IL2 is 4 year old game, you only need to install all those 'cds' if you just bought the game.

If thats the case don't blame the rest of the world. Over 4 years how many updates has AH had?

You hassled yourself...

I doubt they will miss your buisness...

PF will run off either exe.

Sirloin, they have 6 CDs because that's how much content there is. Half-Life2 has 5 CDs, what do you expect? A hard drive with the game preloaded in the box?


Pongo - Yes, but not for the new exe if you are using it (I'm not, it's broke).
You can go to Gamecopyworld and choose search for Pacific Fighters.. or wait till I get home and I can e-mail it to you.

They will miss every dollar,I can guarantee you that...I aint payin for 1 more "expansion pack" ever again...It's just a never ending stack of CD's you'll eventually have to try and re-install...Why?

1 click full update link for registered pilots...Is that too much to ask for customer service?
