President Bush doesn't want us to get too upset about it.   He said the terrorists are just trying to make us frustrated and lose confidence.

Let's speak no more of it, please.

From MSNBC:

In Washington, President Bush, saying it showed that “the terrorists are still on the move,” linked the attack to insurgents in Iraq, where violence threatens elections set for January.

“They want us to grow timid and weary in the face of their willingness to kill randomly, kill innocent people,” the president said.

The State Department, however, chose to emphasize that no Americans had been killed, saying that was a victory for the U.S. decision recently to beef up security at the consulate. “Chalk one up for us against the terrorists,” Adam Ereli, a spokesman for the State Department, said at a briefing.

I hadn't read far enough before to realize the whole thing was actually a U.S. victory.

So a bomb blows up our consulate building in Saudi Arabia killing 18 and wounding 120 and its an American Victory? Sounds like some good spin work!

Wheres the logic?

I'm glad no Americans were hurt, but calling it a Victory is pretty absurd.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Here is the reality of this war on terrorism.
You can kill 500.000.000 of them and there will never be a shortage of morons willing to blow themselves up to go meet allah!

In other words it is an unwinable war!
Best we can do is protect our own country and vital intrest.
