GS, I'm going to have to call you wrong and I am not going to FL to get the damn airworthiness certificate and dataplate to prove it to you. It's a Focke Wulf. I've annualed this particular airplane and some of the design intracies as well as utterly stupidly-simple additions to the airplane are undoubtedly influenced by Kurt Tank's design. Especially the wing/wingtip. Go blow smoke up a chimney because my bellybutton is an exit-only and I don't know how many ways I have to prove myself right for you to shaddup.
StarofAfrica-
The airplane definately isn't ordinary! I have a fair amount of flight time in the blue one and its handling qualities are amazing! Its smooth, docile and powerful...har har! Flys with two fingers on the stick, has both left and right seat left hand throttles (so you are a fighter jock no matter which seat you are in) and amazing visibility from the cockpit.
I operated mainly from the owner's private grass airstrip, however we did do some touch 'n go's during my checkout at N. Palm Beach Co. airport and it was a beautiful airplane to fly. It landed smooth, predictable with an approach ref speed of 90kts. Handles beautifully on the ground with tight nosewheel steering, I was impressed with this after banging around in Cessnas for 300 hrs.
The owner is a good pilot who would like to move up to something, his eyes scream 'Mustang' so thats what I figure he'll buy. Couldn't talk him into a flight of 3 folding wing F4F's for Him, Squaddie (IA Mechanic I was working for) and Myself

I was impressed with his military-like flying style of quick, but thorough checklist work and amazing (he is self proclaimed anal retentive and he isn't friggin lying) attention to detail.
email me for more information as this is not BBs talk. I can get you more specs, photos (including one of a 200mph pass 15 feet off the deck that was on the Cover of the Palm Beach Post Sunday July 4th edition) and answer any questions.
He offered to sell me the green one for paper, I don't have much income now and could only manage an insultingly low down payment but would strongly advise you for the blue one so I can buy the green
found that flyby pic, trying to post it:
