It is very encouraging to see that most people realize that getting new people into the sim is so important to our game.

Word of mouth, and posting to websites by individual players, can always attract some new blood :)

I liked the idea of incuding the AH2 software in joystick packages.

It would help a bit if the offline version had some more realistic drones and maybe ground vehicles for targets.  People may try it offline against drones, and then consider the free two weeks.

It would also be nice if you could change the types of drones (ie add buffs, etc.) and aslo their direction.  Slow 200 mph turn to the left all the time gets boring real quick.

What about some off-line ships to practice torpedoes with?

Some tank drones to practice GV gunnery with?

Oh well, it's free, right?

Yeah, it is funny people wanting to see the commercial, but we do, and we've paid for it with our monthly dues, and we may or may not want to watch some TV program pushing a game we've already bought ...

so ... why isn't there any easy place here or somewhere else on the Aces High site where we can SEE the commercial!

Anybody got some Visine, been watching Wings for three days, No AHII Commercial....
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

I've displayed it to a couple of my flightsim friends that are interested in a bit of air combat. The graphics are the biggest turn off for them no matter how much I try and explain  the squad, flight models etc.

I must be different, Graphics are an added bonus to me. But far from the top of the list of what I want in a game. (AW2 in 2d mode was fine to me) Besides, I am not paying attention to how pretty the ground is when I am dog fighting. I can't see and don't care what skin the enemy plane is using. I just want a game that runs smooth and looks decent. And of course has a good community of good people. That's what attracts me to an online game.

Oh and HT. Surely you have a schedule of when the commercials are supposed to be aired. Maybe you could post the up coming weeks schedule for us. So we can tune in and see it. instead of watching Dwings for hours and never see it.

You're not alone.  I agree with everything except your comment about the skins.  :)  I love the skins.

Seen the commercial a couple days ago, but it didn't seem much different then the first one. It lasted like 10 sec. and the only major difference was the shiny new water. It was on during the wee hours of the morning, just lucky I passed by the station just before it came on.

Gixer, based on the recent news updates, I think after v2.02, you might want to show your friends AH2 again :)

Can't wait to see some screenies of their progress! :)

I've still been watching DWings pretty much every night now and haven't seen it.

I think my problem is there hasn't really been a WW2-based show on during these times.  It would make sense that the commercial would air during these programs rather than "Airport".

Although I must say, Airport's a fine show.

It's going to have to be quite an update for that to happen. Will be interesting to see when it comes out.

I get the feeling that Gixer is speaking for himself rather than friends.  ;)  :D

I'm glad I haven't seen it yet. Might make me want to play. I'd have to buy a new stick just to do that. I dont think so.

A part of me wants to see it tho. :)

Would you like  me to test that theory by pasting some pics on a unrelated message board?
