Does anyone know how far away from the map room or an nme field in general one can deploy troops (either M3 or C47 or LTV) and still have the troops run to the map room?  I've found if you're too far away they just stand there.  Just curious as it could open up some tactical elements to taking a base.  Is it 1/2 mile?  1 mile? 5 miles?

It's aprox 1.5k or just a bit outside the perimeter of the field. Not a lot of room for leeway, but I have seen guys sneak a field by dropping short from an M3.
