I had a daughter get bitten by a Brown Recluse. Due to her being so "light" (under 80lbs IIRC) it spread throughout her lymphatic system w/ the "red streaks" as you said. That will "only" happen though if you under 80lbs. With some anit-biotics she was eventually ok after a week or so. We had a vacations scheduled roughly a week after the bite, and while on our trip the bite got infected, and the infections spread throughout her body in her lymphatic system and we ended up at the local hospital for three days while she fought it off.
Was VERY touch and go, and she ended up being ok in the end. If you seek medical attention soon 'nuff B/R bite is no big deal (if you weigh 'nuff it stays localized in the area of the bite) but the key is to stop it A.S.A.P.
After what happened to my daughter, I have a "bit" o' experiende w/ B/R bites and what all can happen.
