This has been posted as a bug at least 3 patches ago...still no fix. I’m beginning the think HTC may not think its a bug or they just have it low on the priority list.

last patch was supposed to address some of it ... but even the b 17's are draging bad and really go nuts if you use flaps at alt ... then u just kiss the drones bye bye .. they dont follow at all ,,, and just fly off into the sunset.

I took this screenshot as my B24 drones formed up during squad night in the early hours of this morning (for me).  :)

It does happen Flossy... there IS a problem, Hitech said as much in a post to me.  Today... same field, same takeoff parameters... 2 successful flights, 1 with loss of both drones.  inconsistent.

Try putting B24 flaps full down on landing and watching your drones go fishing, making a nice coral reef offshore.

Well, this is a typical takeoff for me.... as I have said before, I very rarely have any problems.  I did see your reply before you edited it, btw.... thanks LOL.  :lol

Never used flaps for taking off or landing in a B24 yet.... the only bomber I ever use flaps in is the Lanc...  ;)

i  have a picture similar to flossy's, but at a higher alt.

it's at home so i can't post it now, but basic thing is i have NEVER lost a drone to takeoff in the past 6+ months.

i dont know what you all are doing different, but i can always make them form up nicely, within a few minutes after takeoff.

i full throttle auto takeoff, unless above 6k runway i retract flaps at the begining of the roll.

let plane get 100-200 AGL then nudge stick and manually take the plane, level it and chop throttle to 2/3.

turn on auto level, at 2/3 to 1/2 full MAN, and the drones are right on me in a few seconds.

full throttle up, hit auto speed to climb.

it only gets tricky when there is a hill in the way, then i use rudder turns, with opposing stick to maintain alt and angle, and the drones follow.

i never move the stick before the drones "pop out" of their auto takeoff. once the bank to form up (watch using F3) then do the manuevers listed above.

i did however have a real odd thing happen landing the other day. B24,s perfect straight approach, 3/4 flaps, gear down they both lined up behind me, their gear down, but never went below 300+ AGL. i touched down right in the skid marks on the runway, broke to a stop, they kept flying right above the runway until they blew up.
I don't know what to put here yet.

its mostly when were doing squad runs ...

3-5 sets of buffs, the lead buff set ussually falls right in .  the rest of us are fighting to get our drones to fall in .

yes we know all the tricks
flaps up/ level , pull throttle back , slam throttle to the wood ,  turn left (< this one works best as for its the left drone thats always lagging )  ect .   sometimes it takes us over 1/2 a grid to get the drones inline and start our climb out.

I've only noticed it on b-24 and lancs.  but unless you throttle back and give your drone time to get out of the ground, you lose it 90% of the time.  I'll haev to screenshoot it and place a pic on here, it happens way too often

I have had the same problems with both the 24's and 17's.  Lancs seem to cooperate fairly well with me.  Havent tried the 26's.  I just do what everyone else says, and can usually get the 24's to line up, but the 17's are still uncooperative.

Yes it happens to me all the time.....

And yes the British bombers do better at this but they leak oil on the driveway and don't start when it rains......

Almost never happens to me.

Maybe you guys could post a film of the incident, and me or Flossy might point out what you guys are doing different compared to us??
