If you are using the default skin showing George Preddy's "Cripes A' Mighty" remember that it was 60 years ago on Christmas Day that he was shot down and killed by Allied flak while chasing a 190 down low in this aircraft.

A 479th FG Mustang was also hit by the same Allied flak and crashlanded but the pilot survived.

Yup, and if you want to see a really great tribute to him go here: http://www.squadstuff.com/video/
and download WBIII-352nd-big1.avi

It's a Warbirds 3 flick, and very well done.

[And turn up the volume. The sound track is a terrific match for the film]

Very nice film.  I can tell I'm a history junkie though as the first thing I noticed was the 17s were marked in 15th AF markings so Preddy would never have escorted them! :)

Preddy's brother Bill was also a 51 pilot with the 339th FG and was killed near the end of the war over Czecheslovakia if I remember right.

The gravesite picture was nice at the end of the warbirds film.  I was kinda hoping it showed Bill Preddy's too since they are next to each other.
