Actually being the winner of a rather sizeable amount in the Florida lottery. I have for the past few years given a very large amount to the American Red Cross. They will be there seeing that my donation as well as others is being used wisely.

I have dropped the United way and give directly to the Boy Scouts of America.

We have a saying here in Daytona...Happiness is a thousand New Yorkers going home...with a Canadian under each arm.

weasel, without New Yorkers and Canadians how would 90% of the Daytona residents make their income??!?!?
I kinda agree though, ****ing bikers and rednecks coming to watch Nascar are a pain. Then there's BCR too...and no I'm not racist.

Spring Break rocks though, IMO is the only thing that redeems that POS town which I just left, prolly for good.
Ever been to Lollipops? :D

Ripsnort, how can one send money or aid to victims?

...I don't get it.  Are you saying that New Yorkers can't hold thier liqour and need Canadians to carry them home.  Do Canadians and New Yorkers make great friends and get invited to crash in the New Yorkers homes for awhile, leaving the poor yokal locals out of the massive party to clean up thier mess?  Do only 3000 people visit Daytona?  Cripes that's not much, why the whining?

Calculate your taxes paid, then calculate what our Gov't has donated. I'll bet it would be less than $1.

Google search "Red Cross", "Unicef", or just "Tsunami Relief fund".

If I do write a check, do I have to remind everyone I did in 3 different threads and start a new one? Seems like alot of work.

$23.00 on the way via the Catholic Relief Services.  Would send more but it's the time of year to be broke and the number has a special significance anyway.  Besides, figure it's an easy one for people to match :)
