Well guys, I'll have to rebuild my sounds from the ground up.

Apparently, the headphones I used to test the latest batch of sounds (note that I never uploaded them) were very low-fi... As a consequence, the sounds themselves were particularly bad when played on speakers.

As for when I'll start working on them, I'm not sure, as I work Monday through Friday. I don't have as much free time as I used to, so I use it for more entertaining things nowadays.

I'll attempt work on some new 109 sounds in a week or two. In the meantime, you'll just have to occupy yourselves with other sound packs (or my older ones).

I've been working on some brand-new sounds for a few days, and I'm really liking the results. Hopefully, I'll be uploading some new packs very soon.

Okay people, I just uploaded five new sound packs to my site.

Bf 109
F4U Corsair
P-47
P-51
Spitfire

All packs contain sound files for each plane in the series.

All you have to do is unzip the packs into the AH/sounds folder, and you're set. Now, I'm not quite sure what you mean by the whole matchbox (what?) thing...

My daily transfer of 1gb has been exceeded, since so many of you guys have visited to site and downloaded the packs.

Just wait until tomorrow... I know that sounds stupid, but I don't have a mirror to host the packs for times like this, so that's all that can be done at the moment.

well when i hit the pratt engine all i can do is listen to it. i cant download it or save it to the dictionary.

what i ment by the other thing is, is that i listen to the stuff of matchbox music. but it sounds way different then when i play it on AH. now all the other sounds are the same.

Oh, so Matchbox is a music player... I didn't know, sorry about the misunderstanding.

There's a reason why the sounds are a bit different in-game than when played "raw". It's the way Aces High II's sound system is, and because it's so low-tech, it just transposes the sounds to (attempt to) fit the pitch of each aircraft's engine... It really doesn't work that well, but that's what we'll have to live with until the game adopts a system similar to Flight Simulator (config files for sound pitch and duration).

Go for it. I need all the bandwidth I can get, seeing how popular my sound packs seem to be now.
