How many of you suffer from the "wife ack" syndrome? Mine used to get pissed back in the AW days when I flew constantly, but now she's used to it and only makes rare passing comments. Girlfriends can be put into this catagory, so feel free to comment.

It is like they are being paid by the guys we are fighting to come into the room and pull your focus at that one precise monet in time that is the most devstaing to your continued survival.

I bet my wife would give anything to find out where the programmers for these games lived, she would go there with a stick and beat the heck out of them.

Back in AW, my squad met on Thursday night at 9 CST. This was also the same time HBO's Real Sex was on. I never flew more than 30 minutes before she mounted an attack. I have no regrets.

I lucked out. My GF actually likes to watch me fly. In fact, she was upset when I got headphones because she couldnt hear what was going on. She says it's like watching a different war movie every night.

I used to get upset years ago because I was more concerned about the costs when Zeb used to play AW on the London host. A long-distance phone call, combined with an hourly charge, meant we had some huge bills. Once he moved to AW on Gamestorm I felt a lot happier and even got interested myself....

heres ONE..

got home from work at 11pm last nite... went in the living room and notice all eyes on the TV. i went back to the computer and login into MA. at around 11:45pm wife ack comes in and looks at screen and sees squad listing.. (5 squad members online)

she says.. "how sad... even your loser squad is online on new years"

sometimes she dont mind but when its take out the trash nite or something like that.. that ack sure doesnt miss!

I work shifts so im at home most of the time.
When i'm home my girl is workin i do the kids. (i have 2 of them 2,5 years and 8 months)

I do even most of the cooking washin the dishes etc.

so when all kids are in bed and my girlfriend is gone to bed too i go play with my puter.

only this endsup mostly in the middle of the night until 0300 + hours.

less than 4 hours of sleep

she complains about that
She wants me to sit on the couch watchin soap and woman movies.
and go to bed with her the same time.

The eager to play and fly is killing me.

I too have three kids and when they are in bed I get a couple hours of game time. I almost never hear anything negative from my wife and am lucky that way. The odd time she will want to watch a movie or a show together so I'll do that.

It's amazing how taking one night off can make a huge difference. If you guys are suffering '88mm wife ack', take one for the team and suffer through a chick-flick.

It kind of works the same way women do it to us. They have the uncanny ability to have sex only enough as they have to, to keep the 'husband ack' at bay. It is up to you to find the same comfort zone to keep the wife ack away.
